The deaths of nine women and children has thrust into focus a small religious community and their long history in a remote corner of northern Mexico.
[snip]Six children and three women all US citizens were massacred on a dirt road nearby, when gunmen ambushed their convoy of SUVs, killing children at point-blank range and shooting one mother as she begged for their lives.
[snip]The region is understood to be the site of a battle for dominance between an organized crime group known as La Línea, based in Ciudad Juárez in Chihuahua, and another group known as Los Salazar based in Sonora and affiliated with the Sinaloa cartel.
[snip]Relatives of the victims acknowledge that the security situation in the region had started to deteriorate as the rival crime groups battled to control the isolated road running north towards the frontier.

""We still dont understand why the Democrats are so wholeheartedly against it. They voted for it in 2006. Then-Sen. Obama voted for it. Sen. Schumer voted for it. Sen. Clinton voted for it. So we dont understand why Democrats are now playing politics just because Donald Trump is in office." Mick Mulvaney on Sunday, April 23rd, 2017 in a segment on "Fox News Sunday"
We have no Nation without Borders
Joe Biden Jr. snorted big fat white lines over and over from this very cartel.
“If the Mexican government made it so a civilian could own a firearm, I truly believe all this stuff would calm down a lot quicker than anyone would realize, said Miller Jr.”
“that cartel gunmen mistook the group of women and children for members of a rival armed group”
Bunk. A bunch of blond kids with white skin?
Fat chance of finding anyone who looks like that from Agua Prieta.
They knew damn well who they were. It was a message: Leave, Gringos. We don’t care anymore.
Kill the cartels, their followers (gangs), and their entire family trees. Take their stuff, rinse and repeat.
No quarter, no running to the ICJ, no outside interference. Just good old fashion killing on an industrial scale that would make the Asian approach to criminal drug enterprises seem pedestrian.
Mormons in Mexico? Are those Mitts people?
They're BOUGHT. That's why the border stays open.
“Got CAUGHT UP”
Yeah, right:
There were numerous abductions in the area —people PAID. These people got sick of it, since paying increased the snatches.
In a couple cases they banded together and used force to take BACK their family members, something the cartels didn’t like.
Journalists keep saying CAUGHT UP, they keep dissembling using that term that people gobble up and swallow:
It’s deceptive.
Mexico has a government, but the REAL government is the DRUG CARTELS.
That sounds vaguely famliar, doesn’t it?
I mean having one government but actually being governed by another, different, secret group of people.
Mormons are naive. Got no business spreading their gospel down there. Does Amy Biel ring a bell?
They got “CAUGHT UP IN” cartel problems.
Eric Holder “BOTCHED” Fast & Furious.
People LIKE those terms, they somehow immediately relate to them, those words quickly satisfy the curiousity of busy people:
THOSE WORDS ARE LIES.
There is all kinds of important stuff lying behind those deceptive words.
Do it covert like it was done against al-Baghdadi and not let us know until done. Plus build that wall!
The cartels obviously have no problem owning guns. That brings to mind my all time favorite NRA bumper sticker.
"Outlaw Guns and Only Outlaws Will Have Guns"
The drug cartels run Mexico.
“Mormons in Mexico? Are those Mitts people?”
“Mormons are naive. Got no business spreading their gospel down there. “
This is a group of mormons that split from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints a long time ago.
Amy Biel, wow.
Yeah, I remember clearly when that first happened, just terrible.
Can’t say I’m surprised, though, not one little bit.
A great parallel.
Honey, isn’t it boring, making wealthy, sorta fat people here juuuust little bit more sexy..?
Oh yeah, honey, we should instead put our fitness knowledge to work in AFRICA..! Do some GOOD, ya know? I mean let’s open a GYM there..!
OKAY..!
BUT THEN **THIS** HAPPENED:

There are other articles that are almost victim blaming - how dare American Mormons be in that region, dominating it?
These are Mormons who wouldnt give up polygamy and then went to remote places; theyre connected with some Mormon polygamous groups in the US, too. However, they seem to have reconciled with regular Mormons in Mexico and have gone to services at a regular Mormon church (I think this group was on their way there at the time). Unlike the fundamentalist Mormons in the US, they dont appear to live on welfare but actually run businesses (pomegranate and nut growing).
One of the older family members, who lived in a different town, was very much opposed to the drug cartels and in fact his son had been kidnapped and was only released after a Mexican army action against the kidnappers. This was a few years ago. Another family member - a younger brother? - was then killed by the cartels shortly after that.
However, this particular group of Mormons was a little odd in that they had connections with the NXVIM sex-slave cult in the US and used to send their teenage girls to work at the cults headquarters. I read that NXVIM hired Mormons from these groups because the girls were generally healthy and pretty, used to hard work, and also used to polygamy. That is, men - or the man in charge of the cult, whose name I have forgotten - could have lots of wives and temporary wives but the women could only have the man to whom they were assigned.
The cartels control sex-trafficking in Mexico, so they may have thought that this was the NXVIM connection. Needless to say, that doesnt justify the killings or make the cartels any less guilty, but its just that there may be a complicated back story. And even if there is, they knew these people were American citizens...and it just shows you that they dont care anymore. Theyre not afraid of the US. Thanks, Dems.
I recall in Romneys bio that his family spent time in Mexico when he was a child.
