Since January 2017, President Trump has appointed, and the Senate has confirmed,158 life-tenured federal judges, including 20 who today serve in Texas. Taken together, the presidents nominees over the last three years have filled one-quarter of the seats on our nations circuit courts of appeals, and two of the nine seats on the U.S. Supreme Court.
Few legacies will be longer lasting than this judicial one. These new judges are principled constitutionalists who have demonstrated excellence and professionalism throughout their legal careers.
These are judges we can rightly expect will remain faithful to the law. This is good news for all of us who care about the Constitution, individual liberty, and democracy. Ill be joining the president Wednesday at the White House to recognize this historic achievement.

Trump said that in two months he expects to have 180 confirmations.
MAGA! WINNING!
Up up up. Click bait headline. Half the distance to the goal line and loss of down.
I get the impression that the selection and confirmation of most Federal Judgeships happens in a closed society. Most people do not pay any attention to this part of our nations function, unless the candidate is uncommonly controversial.
I am forced to give “The Turtle” a compliment for his help, focus and guidance getting all these confirmations.
This important work may be why the president seems to purposely say something that triggers the reporters, so that their attention is momentarily diverted from matters of real importance.

Might want to hold on counting your judge chickens there given McConnell and the GOP have blocked many other important Trump MAGA nominees. We could easily be getting a lot of Harriet Miers’ and not Scalia’s on the federal bench. Time will tell. Hope for the best but verify always.
We should have far more appointments by now > IMO.
One appointment took over a full year to get approved and I believe others have taken six months or more.
What happens if God forbid Trump should no win next year.
The appointments go out the window. The slow walking process of investigating and prosecuting people for the FISA abuses does too, particularly if the House remains in the Democrats hands also.
Our Republicans are so damned ignorant.
I thought you were going to say someone was willing to give a half a vote to Hillary and give up on judges.
It took Tooter Turtle over two years to take action to cut back on the demoncRats slow walking tactics when reviewing judges.

McConnell and Graham are still honoring to this day Democrat “blue slip” obstruction on district noms. The only reason we hear so hear so much about these judges is there is little else to trumpet from the do-nothing GOP Senate. McConnell will go down in history as one of the least consequential majority leaders in Senate history.
This is another reason the demonrats and RINOs can’t wait until he’s out of office.
No, it’s not the President’s fault.
I’m not upset at Trump.
Here:
Go look at the people waiting to be called up for a Senate floor vote. There are two from 2017. I don’t honestly understand what is going on there.
There are plenty from March and May this year. Scroll down the middle of the page until you get to “waiting for a full Senate vote”.
Thanks. I wasn’t aware of that. Good grief.

Just noticed there’s a whole slew of nominated people from as far back as mid 2018, waiting now on a Senate vote.
What the sam hell is McConnell doing?
Call the damned vote on these people!
bump
With another full term I’d bet that Trump could fill fully half of all Fed Judgeships, including 3 more to the USSC!
Thomas, Stevens, and Ginsburg could all be replaced by Trump.
Now wouldn’t THAT stroke out the liberal moonbats!
I might stroke out from sheer joy at that! :)
If Trump gets another term there’s a really good chance that he would get 3 more on the USSC. It would be the ‘Trump’ court for the next 25-30 years!
He will get another term.
WINNING!
Thomas still wants to go to Nebraska football games for free.
At least 2 or 3 more on the USSC, right?
Yes, I have no doubt of that .
