Its now official. Former U.S. Attorney General Jeff Sessions is a Republican candidate for U.S. Senate in Alabama, a seat he once occupied prior to going to serve in President Donald Trumps administration in 2017.
Earlier in the evening, Sessions campaign website went live, and he published his first campaign video, which was featured in his announcement on Fox News Channels Tucker Carlson Tonight.
During that appearance, Sessions addressed his desire to run and his falling out with Trump. Sessions told Carlson that he hoped to have an opportunity to discuss his campaign with Trump.

Moron alert. I voted for Trump.
Ill give him a pass for the AG job. I think he feels really bad about it.
I don’t. In the Fox interview he breezily glossed over the trauma to the MAGA agenda and Trump’s Presidency he caused as AG.
I’m trying to become less combative with freepers who I like but disagree with :)
I don’t want a bad reputation.
Or at least a worse one! :)
I must say I kept hearing how sessions was playing 24D chess and how he was a double secret probation agent and actually a genius etc.
Seems like the simple answer is he just ####ed Trump.
And my gut tells me he knew what the plan was and what was going to happen.
Maybe as senator, knowing he has to answer to the people, it might be different. I dunno
Deep State, GOPe hack....
I also recuse myself of any so-called “support”.
Not that it matters, I can’t vote in Alabama.
Trump knew.
:
Sessions is only running because he was told to do so.
Hes no good to the Deep State in Retirement.
Would it be better to have it occupied by a judas?
No. Just no. I think the swamp has him. I think the swamp wants him back in the Senate. I think he’s going to be congenial to every Democrat. He’s going to be fair to every false charge by every Democrat.
Even now, I dont think Jeff Sessions gets just how angry he has made most conservatives.
Yes. Trump should try all he can to stay out of this for now.
There are many (petty, spiteful, shameless) people who will loudly support ANYTHING in any way if they hear that President Trump does not want it.
Prove it. You insist. Prove it.
Sessions should have told Trump before the hearing.
More dumb ass comments from a fool .
Confirmation hearings. No lie there. Trump knew.
Trump knew.

During confirmation? So what was Trump supposed to do? Withdraw the nom, face huge backlash for the GOP Senate and let Sally Yates or another Obama hold over run the DOJ? Nope. Wasn’t going to happen.
The ignorance of your post is astounding.
How do you know that? Did President Trump inform you?
IIRC, and I’m pretty sure I am, Roy Moore was well regarded by Freepers until he lost. Doug Jones was another corrupt Democrat to them and following the tradition of getting elected to higher office to avoid investigation for questionable financial dealings. Moore was flawed, falsely accused, and far better than the alternative.
I guess nobody told Trump he could pull the nomination.
