The much-anticipated book A Warning, reportedly written by an unnamed senior White House official, claims that high-level White House aides were certain that Vice President Mike Pence would support the use of the 25th Amendment to have President Donald Trump removed from office because of mental incapacity.
According to the exposé, which is written by someone that The New York Times and the publisher of the book say is a current or former senior White House official, using the pen name Anonymous, highly placed White House officials did a back-of-the-envelope tally of which Cabinet members would be prepared to sign a letter invoking Section 4 of the 25th Amendment to the Constitution, which says that if the president is deemed unfit to discharge the duties of his office, the vice president would assume the role.

More Demo craft Fascist Party black propaganda to stir up crap inside Trumps base. Total made up BS
Anonymous. The new generation of passive aggressive cowards in government. Like high school, with more money.
And he would lose the next election hard and be seen as a traitor forever.
Anyway, these morons, the 25th s seen as a shortcut but it’s actually much tougher than mere impeachment. Invoke the 25th and all the President has to do is report too congress that no disability exists and presto, he is right back in.
That can only be overcome with BOTH houses of congress voting to remove him with a 2/3 majority.
In Impeachment its simple majority in the house, 2/3 in the senate.
Laughable that they think 25th is an end run or an easy impeachment alternative.
25th Amendment, section 4. Read it and weep bit@hes. Unless you have 2/3 in the House AND Senate, you can’t pull it off.
“Whenever the Vice President and a majority of either the principal officers of the executive departments or of such other body as Congress may by law provide, transmit to the President pro tempore of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of Representatives their written declaration that the President is unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office, the Vice President shall immediately assume the powers and duties of the office as Acting President.
Thereafter, when the President transmits to the President pro tempore of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of Representatives his written declaration that no inability exists, he shall resume the powers and duties of his office unless the Vice President and a majority of either the principal officers of the executive department or of such other body as Congress may by law provide, transmit within four days to the President pro tempore of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of Representatives their written declaration that the President is unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office. Thereupon Congress shall decide the issue, assembling within forty-eight hours for that purpose if not in session. If the Congress, within twenty-one days after receipt of the latter written declaration, or, if Congress is not in session, within twenty-one days after Congress is required to assemble, determines by two-thirds vote of both Houses that the President is unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office, the Vice President shall continue to discharge the same as Acting President; otherwise, the President shall resume the powers and duties of his office.”
They are so stung out on Chablis and Brie that an injection of Fentenal would have little or no effect. Their fantasy world is impenetrable as to facts.
I ‘feel’ the people at Huffington Post are conservatives who are afraid to ‘out’ themselves - and that they secretly support Trump and hate Warren and Sanders...
How do I know this?
I ‘mind read’ and when that doesn’t work I pull out my crystal ball, or just ‘project’ my feelings on to others...
LIKE THEY DO...

Yashar Ali is a fool.
The 25th deals with a temporary incapacitation of the President. It was never intended to reverse an election outcome one doesnt like.
It has never been invoked for good reason.
Have you noticed how we have more “unnamed sources” and “anonymous” maggots from the District of Corruption crapping on the streets of America these days than we do homeless people? People will waste money buying a “book” of lies and propaganda put together by a person or group of people that they have no idea who they are? I always thought only morons would do that.
Seriously, all these words, and nothing but unsubstantiated claims, or unsubstantiated claims of unsubstantiated claims.
“reportedly written by an unnamed senior White House official”
“claims that high-level White House aides were certain”
“which is written by someone”
“ that The New York Times and the publisher of the book say is a current or former senior White House official”

“The discussions about invoking the 25th Amendment took place,”

“there were early whispers within the Cabinet”
So many liberal soaking wet daydreams.
Today, on the Innuendo and Empty Gossip Report ...
HuffPost has not confirmed Pences position on the invocation of the 25th Amendment
Probably because Pence never took a position. It sounds like the back of the envelope tally did not come up with enough Cabinet secretaries to bring it forward to Pence.
Actually the 25th Amendment has gone into effect with little fanfare when the President has a medical procedure that requires him to be unconscious. The Vice President becomes Acting President for a few hours. When the President is restored to proper awareness papers are signed returning the office to the President.
“The 25th deals with a temporary incapacitation of the President. It was never intended to reverse an election outcome one doesnt like.”
Well said. That is why impeachment is much easier. It needs no cooperation from his cabinet, simple majority in the House, 2/3 Senate. It could be done in an afternoon if they wanted.
And no recourse.
He was born in Chicago.
Nobody seems to notice that the 25th amendment does not foresee actually removing a President from office. If it was successfully invoked, the Vice President would become Acting President, but the ostensibly incapacitated President would still be President. Even if the anti-Trump members of Congress were to vote by a two-third margin in both Houses that Trump was incapacitated, he would still be President.
