The Mormon church supports bad immigration policy. I’m not sure how big the divide is between the Mormon Church and the average Mormon citizen when it comes to the immigration issue, but I know it exist. It’s hard for any republican in the state to win without backing from the Mormon church, but I hope someone can run opposed to open borders and bad legal immigration policy and win. The Mormon church and the state Republican party establishment are integrated and powerful in Utah.
The problem in Utah isn’t a lot different than it is in other red states with a powerful establishment republican party that’s extremely hard to defeat in primaries even though the republican voters in the state disagree with them on several important issues. We’ve got to change that going forward. I hope a good republican candidate can take back this seat in Utah in November. I don’t just want republicans to take back the house, I want a higher quality of MAGA republicans in office. We need good nationalist and patriots to replace the establishment in steps. MUGA!
