Here we - at time of posted the polls in the Eastern Time Zone are closed and polls will close in the Central Time Zone in 15 minutes.

Nothing from Jefferson County is in yet which is the largest Democrat stronghold - once all of that is in and the rest of the results from the western part of the state start rolling in we will see how much of a deficit the Republican candidates end up having to make up - if most or all of the Republican candidates suddenly fall way behind as the results come in, it is probably because Jefferson County (Louisville) is starting to report their results. Fayette (Lexington) is also a large Dem stronghold but still a fraction the population of Jefferson. Fayette usually gets reported quickly if I am remembering correctly so it will not likely be lingering out there if the race is close.

Races on the ballot:

Governor / Lt. Governor: Matt Bevin (R) / Ralph Alvarado (R) vs. Andy Beshear (D) and Jacqueline Coleman (D)

Secretary of State: Michael Adams (R) vs. Heather French Henry (D)

Attorney General: Daniel Cameron (R) vs. Greg Stumbo (D)

State Auditor: Mike Harmon (R) vs. Sheri Donahue (D)

Treasurer: Allison Ball (R) vs. Michael Bowman (D)

Agriculture Commissioner: Ryan Quarles (R) vs. Robert Conway (D)

KY is a Red state so we’ll see what kind of coattails Trump has.

Jefferson county (Louisville) is the Broward county of Kentucky. The democrats always hold back vote manufacturing precincts to see if they’re close enough state wide to steal the election.

Bevin has a 5 point lead... Trump had a blowout when he carried the state three years ago.

I disagree that Kentucky is a red state. Kentucky definitely vote Republican in national elections. However, the state is predominately registered Democrats, who are not afraid to vote for a Democrat for governor. Any halfway or reasonable sounding Democrat has a legitimate chance to win the governors race in Kentucky.

Local elections are more personal. If Trump was running, there would likely be a bigger spread.

Its like W. VA next door. Democrats are conservative here which is why they vote Republican.

OK is pretty much the same. Partisan make up matters little.
