Across the country, it's becoming a familiar scene: Sidewalks lined with tents, underpasses brimming with people with nowhere else to go and officials desperate to find ways to help those in need and simultaneously clean up their communities.
In New York City, leaders have decided to send the problem away, with a program called SOTA, the special one time assistance program., which uses taxpayer money to give homeless individuals and families a year's worth of rent to get out of town...
"Once that runs out they leave the cities the responsibilities of taking care of these people if they're homeless, we have to think about feeding them, clothing them, we have to think about the kids that are in the school," said Mount Vernon New York Mayor Andre Wallace.

Maybe we should send NY our murderers and rapists.
The other cities in Texas do this to Austin. One way bus tickets. The city is overrun now.
These stories are starting to seem very suspicious to me.
I just heard the president say in his rally that we have the lowest unemployment ever.
I think these stories represent more than just the consequences of cities managed under lousy liberal policies. It seems that trouble and bad news are being enhanced and engineered in an attempt to make people think that things are awful, terrible, no good, very bad.
other cities used to do this too
but Californication collects them all
I as wondering where the heck are all our homeless coming from..that makes sense!! Fu ny and caliMEXICO!! FU, FU!!
“Return to sender.
Address unknown.
No such number.
No such zone.”
—Elvis Presley, 1962
“Like a rubber ball,
I came bouncin’ back to you...”
—Bobby Vee, 1960
NY pays them to leave there, and Californication pays them to come there
soon the continent may tilt and sink
Had to go to Los Angeles on business earlier this year. I used an app to find the shortest route back to the airport — WAZE.
Turns out the underused, low traffic path was right through the middle of a homeless encampment. It was MILE AFTER MILE of tent cities, fires in trash cans, beggers, druggers etc etc. It did not look like America.
Typical Democratic strategy. Create huge problems because of their governing policies and then criticize someone else for not solving the problem. Much like Gavin Nobrain blaming everyone else for the problems their own idiotic environmental rules have cause California to burn.
Why can’t we send them south of the border? Tell Mexico it’s only fair. Tell the homeless drugs are cheaper down there and it’s warmer.
Maybe we should rename the state Calicutta.
No Journalist of today has bothered to go and live among the homeless to give a true picture of what drives them. Ernie Pyle and Will Rogers did it in their time.
ny pays them to leave
many other states pay them to leave ?
calif pays them to go there
it all adds up
LA is NOT America. Not at all.
How ironic that the program is called SOTA. Chicago did the same thing to Minnesota around 1990. The change was dramatic and the Twin Cities have never been the same since. Used to be a great place to live.
See, the rats do share
...and the Twin Cities have never been the same since.
But the MN voters let the Drats win. Now, the cities put a muzzie biotch in Congress. Stupid is as stupid tolerates.
