Rumor is that a powerful radar set at White Sands disabled the one that crashed at Roswell.

That was 1947, I think "they" would have hardened their systems since then.

And WHY was it out at White Sands - what’s to be “seen” out there? Russians? That far inland? You got BIGGER problems than UFOs at that rate ...

Maybe that’s why they haven’t been back that often since. We have radar all over now- and much better than 1947.

It would also explain the more than a few accounts of them crashing.
