Vote NO on Proposition CC! Tell liberal special interests to take their effort to gut TABOR and shove it where the sun don’t shine.

Does anyone have a conservative voter’s guide for the rest of the ballot?

From what I’ve read, I’ll be voting no on both of’em.

The report cards grade recipients on their recent voting record compared to their neighbors

How is it legal for anyone to investigate how or if you voted? Why isn't that private?

Voters are registered with the local governments which sponsor elections. You are generally registered as a RAT, a Republican, or unenrolled. Also, if you voted in a primary, it's a pretty good bet that you voted for that party in the general election.

Why isn't that private?

Because it's a matter of public record.

The voter lists are usually available to the candidates or the party's county committee.

Coloradans for Prosperity must be trying to play off of the organization called Americans for Prosperity. I’ve gotten voter guide type cards from AfP (no grading of my record) but nothing from the former, CfP.

AfP recommended a NO vote on Prop. CC which is what I was going to vote anyway. Once in a while these voter guide mailings tell me something I don’t know but 95% of the time they’re useless to me.

It is a scam in my neighborhood too. I received one with a C- grade even though I have voted in every election , even local ones, for decades. EIGHT of my neighbors on the mail ( only first names) all got A’s. I asked my next door neighbor if he got one of those fliers too. He said he did and HE was the one with the C- and eight of his neighbors, including myself all got A’s

“I voted NO on all the propositions. And threw that “report card” in the trash.”

ditto

Colorado is a blue state, but is still fiscally conservative. It is much better run than California, New York, or Illinois. This is because during the 90's, conservatives passed some amendments to the state constitution called the TABOR laws, which set limits on spending. Even today, the state will send out tax refund checks if they collect too much money.

This is the last defense against becoming California. Coloradans have to protect these laws because they will attempt to remove them every single election.

You know, I haven't been in Colorado all that long (by Colorado standards) - more than a decade, less than two...

But it seems to me every single time there is a ballot there is at least one ballot initiative/issue brought up where the State government is trying to get out from under TABOR. I freakin' love TABOR (Taxpayer Bill of Rights) - that limits the amount of taxes the State can collect.

This year there are two propositions and both are trying to get around TABOR. One blatantly just wants to eliminate it, one is trying to set a precedent of taxing "around" it. No way, TABOR is one of the few remaining good things about living here.

Every time these initiatives are couched in terms that sound so good, so appealing who could possibly be against them? Who doesn't want improved water management? Or law enforcement? Or firefighting, or roads, etc. etc. They always try to make it sound great, all upside, trust us, we'll take good care of your money, we'll even allow an indepdent audit of the money we collect under this new initiative. (but apparently not what they do with other funds)...

Vote today in the local county courthouse. “No” to everything.

In this state, idiot lib voters in the Denver suburbs and Boulder decide the outcome of elections.

What’s a small rural county voter supposed to do?

““No” to everything.”

that’ always a good default position, even if one knows zero about the issues ...
