Smugglers in Mexico are SAWING through sections of Trump's 'virtually impenetrable' border wall (tr)

Smuggling gangs in Mexico have continuously sawed through President Trump’s controversial border wall using every day power tools, according the U.S. agents and officials with knowledge of the incidents.

The security breaches, made with a popular cordless reciprocating saw that can sell for less than $100, has been used to open gaps large enough for people and drug loads to filter through.

When fitted with 'specialized' blades, the tool can break through one of the wall's steel and concrete bollards in just minutes.

The Washington Post reports that after slicing through a bollard, smugglers will push the steel out of the way, allowing an adult to fit through the opened space.

I too approve the use of landmines. My personal favorite though is the UA-571C Automated Sentry Gun. Proven effective on aliens.

Why not tell the human traffickers all the details, Daily Mail? Oh wait you just did.

He’s one of those guys that regularly disliked the tariffs againt China.
So yeah. He has a stick up his ass over there in Berlin.
By "regularly" you mean never since I have not posted against (btw) tariffs against China.
Do we really need to hear about your stick up the ass fetish?
We all know he’s got a ZOT in his future. It’s just a matter of time.
"We all know", posted like a true liberal snowflake who needs to hide in an imaginary crowd.
Btw, still here.

What idiocy. Yes, maybe a few can breach the wall. Shoot them immediately. Leave their criminal bodies to rot on the spot. At least, it isn’t the tens of thousands(tens of millions?) who were sauntering across and giving us the finger or the millions The Greatest Fraud Ever invited in and gave them “benefits”. Deport ALL illegal aliens. Seize their ill-gotten assets. If they return, shoot them. Is this YOUR country or is it the country of criminal alien invader losers?

That’s exactly what I’m quickly concluding now as they have nothing to fear currently.

weird that the wall opponents are using the fact that people with obvious criminal intent are breaching the wall as attack against the wall being there in the first place. the answer to this is not “give up”. the answer to this is “build a better wall” while proving the walls necessity.

Dead is dead but when one is trying to get re=elected and you need every one, even the stupid suburbanite housewives who don’t like Trump already, you run a campaign not to alienate more voters than you win over.

One can say with sincerity that the father killed his toddler by crossing a natural barrier but getting blow to smithereens by a man made object, one can blame the person who put it there. (See booby traps and state laws)

Thanks. Long time overdue.

I’d suggest that if we find illegals on our soil with drugs, we institute the 3 Ss Clause.

Oh yeah, you’re still here alright. I just think it’s a matter of time before you get the ZOT based on your posts. My impression is you’ve buckled under the pressure of being in Europe surrounded by the anti-Trump attitude day in and day out. Not that it’s super surprising. I was talking to an American salesman for a Danish company the other day. He’s based in Copenhagen and had clearly been beaten down by the non-stop anti-Trumpism. People are social creatures and it’s tough to hold up against the pressure.

I’ll make a list of crazy Fanboys and put you at the top.
Needless to say, I couldn’t care less about you convincing someone how disturbed you are by drilling them about Trump.
People I know would quickly brush you off as a nutjob.
But hey don’t just take my word about it, read your own sorry posts here in a thread about the wall.

As someone who has tried to cut through metal and concrete, I don’t see this “$100 hand tool” crap as particularly believable.

If some dumb s*** wants to take a sawzall out into a remote area with a bunch of batteries and blades and spend enough time cutting a hole in the wall in which people can be passed through one at a time, they are welcome to it.

Bring lots of charged batteries and blades. If they want to bring expensive gas powered equipment out, or spend lots of money on durable high quality blades, they can knock themselves out. Hope they have lots of arm strength.

Otherwise, lets just not put up any barrier at all and let them just walk across. That has worked so well for us in the past, hasn’t it?

I think anyone who has their panties in a bunch over this is problematic, and needs to get a grip on reality. And stop reading articles from the Washington Post, NYT and stop watching NBC.

The only "sawed" photos I've seen seem to show DIRT NOT CONCRETE inside of the steel posts.. Someone correct me if I'm wrong but does this look like CONCRETE to you?:

Looks like DIRT FILL not CONCRETE FILL! Is this a prototype wall or the actual wall? Actual wall is supposed to be CONCRETE NOT DIRT!!! The background of this photo would indicate this is a PROTOTYPE WALL, NO?

Ever use one. You can hear it a mile away, and given all the sensors they have there, that means CAPTURE!

In a statement, DHS Spokeswoman Katie Waldman said, “The steel bollard construction is based on the operational requirements of the United States Border Patrol and is a design that has been honed over more than a decade of use. It is an important part of Border Patrol’s impedance and denial capability.”

“While the design currently being constructed was informed by what we learned in the prototypes, it does not replicate those designs,” said Waldman. “The steel bollard design is internally reinforced with materials that require time and multiple industrial tools to breach, thereby providing U.S. Border Patrol agents additional response time to affect a successful law enforcement resolution. In the event that one of the steel bollards becomes damaged, it is quick and cost-effective to repair.

“The professionals on the border know that a wall system is intended not only to prevent entry, it is intended to defer and to increase the amount of time and effort it takes for one to enter so that we can respond with limited border patrol agents. Even a wall that is being breached is a valuable tool in that it allows us to respond to the attempted illegal entry.”

In response to KPBS, CBP spokesman Ralph DeSio said the prototypes “were not and cannot be designed to be indestructible,” but were designed to “impede or deny efforts to scale, breach, or dig under such a barrier, giving agents time to respond.”

I will reiterate here...The new walls are tougher than the pre-production walls, as stated in the article here. Here is the link to this snippet...

https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/immigration/test-steel-prototype-border-wall-showed-it-could-be-sawed-n956856

I would also add that IMO, the vast majority of people trying to defeat the wall will not have the equipment to accomplish the task. People whos business is to breach the wall, will do so, and it will be a learning method for us to ultimately defeat entry by those few people. It may come to deadly force, but it will take time, and determination.
