Prosecutors reject Flynn claims ahead of sentencing

Federal prosecutors have released FBI notes from former national security adviser Michael Flynn's interview with agents in 2017 in order to push back on claims that former special counsel Robert Mueller's team tried to alter evidence against him.

“The defendant’s protestations of innocence and being misled into a guilty plea are demonstrably false,” U.S. Attorney Brandon Van Grack, the lead prosecutor on the case, wrote in a court filing on Friday that included the FBI notes.

A new defense team led by Sidney Powell has accused the former special counsel's team of altering key evidence and pushing Flynn into a guilty plea, the newspaper reports.

Van Grack has refuted such defense claims, noting that Flynn was represented by counsel and was free to leave at any time during his voluntary interviews leading up to his guilty plea in late 2017. Flynn also affirmed under oath that he wished to proceed with sentencing a year later, Van Grack noted.

How cynical when they were threatening his son at that point and had lied about the FISA and entrapped him. Bending under the pressure of the STATE in order to protect one’s family does not equate to free confession. Statements made under duress are not valid.

The FBI has zero credibility.

The FBI should be in prison for the rest of its life.

All of it, Sean Hannity.

Prosecutors are given way too slack to bully and intimidate those caught, both rightly and wrongly, within the justice system.

“FBI should be in prison for the rest of its life.”

Should be disbanded and re-built from the ground up to focus on real crime.

Maybe Sean is dyslexic and actually means 1% of the FBI agents are good people and the other 99% should be in prison.

Shouldn't have one at all.

FBI notes from former national security adviser Michael Flynn's interview with agents in 2017

Ah, the old FD-302 form where the agent summarizes everything in his own words. Recordings to protect the innocent are not allowed.

Powell’s reply is due by noon, November 4. She sounded confident that she could easily refute the government’s claim.

“Shouldn’t have one at all.”

I don’t have a problem with a well-controlled FBI with a narrow and strictly defined role.

“Who the hell are these Federal Prosecutors? Once again, Jeff Sessions incompetence by not cleaning house on day one.”

They’re trying to milk it for all they can and don’t really care much about justice. Somewhat in the same category of hosing as the putting on of thumbscrews in the celeb college bribe scam. Totally different case, but it’s also turned into a “Prosecutors Gone Wild” scene such as with Flynn.

Notice how the prosecutor DID NOT REFUTE THE claims that they altered evidence.

If theirs enough proof of misconduct in Flynn’s case the investigators and prosecutors should be thrown in prison. This country can’t keep going on with a two tier justice system. Corrupt scumbags like Hillary and the other government leeches need to be held accountable just like everybody else.

Sounds like blah blah blah. He was free to leave the interview, etc. They are technically correct, but none of it is fair. This is how they legalize their vicious behaviour and make your behavior illegal.

There is no underlying crime. Yeah it’s a crime to lie to these snakes. Meanwhile Hillary did it times 10 but “no reasonable prosecutor” would prosecute the case.
