Thanks, I read the first two and then stopped. I am not enough of a lawyer to understand what it means legally with respect to the president making an appointment. You seem to think POTUS has legal precedent for doing this before, so I guess I am happy to see it play out.

Pres. Trump also got a court win when he was allowed to appoint Mulvaney as acting Director of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.
