Upside-down "rivers" of warm ocean water may be one of the causes of Antarctica's ice shelves breaking up, leading to a rise in sea levels. But a new study suggests an increase in sea ice in a colder climate may lead to a much more devastating change in the Earth's climate — another ice age.
Using computer simulations, the research suggests that an increase in sea ice could significantly alter the circulation of the ocean, ultimately leading to a reverse greenhouse effect as carbon dioxide levels in the ocean increase and levels in the air decrease.
“One key question in the field is still what caused the Earth to periodically cycle in and out of ice ages,” University of Chicago professor and the study's co-author, Malte Jansen, said in a statement. “We are pretty confident that the carbon balance between the atmosphere and ocean must have changed, but we don’t quite know how or why."

Was in grade school at the start of the 70’s and humans should have been annihilated at least 3 times by now.
I want them to explain why there are river beds in the Sahara, North pole rocks are at the equator, and the Mediterranean was been bone dry over 40 time.

Aren’t we still awaiting the ice age that was definitely going to happen by 1980? My first ever new “muscle” car only had about 140 hp because of it. (1973 Mustang Mach 1 351 Cleveland engine.)
So the planet may be cooling? Liberal plans to dump fossil fuels are looking premature.
Antarctica has been frozen for 15 million years. Surrounded by the world ocean, its an alpine desert.
Not to going to thaw in the next 11 years.
This is another question similar to the chicken/egg controversy.
Oh, they’ve got their minds made up. . . What ever they make up, requires more government, less freedom, and much higher taxes. Got it? That’s how it works. No matter what ad hoc fantasy they are pushing at the moment, the answer is more government, less freedom, and much higher taxes for them to throw at the fantasy and to control what you and everyone else is doing. It’s a positive feed-back loop. . .
