Al-Baghdadi Associate: Islamic State Chief Buried, Lost $25 million in Desert

A former associate of slain Islamic State (ISIS) chief Abu-Bakr al-Baghdadi told Saudi Arabia's al-Arabiya news network that the group lost $25 million dollars by hiding it in the desert in an interview published on Monday. Mohamed ali-Sajet, currently under Iraqi custody and reportedly cooperating with authorities, told the network that al-Baghdadi had excellent hiding tactics.

Not so good at hiding money, actually, as they think local people found that much. The multi-million dollar question, of course, is how much is still in the desert. Or did the guy make it up to send people on a big treasure hunt? Did he and his associates pocket some? Will the al-Anbar desert now become populated by fortune hunters?

Also note: Article refers to al-Baghdadi as "assassinated." That is incorrect. He killed himself and 3 innocent babies.
