EVEN IF there was a quid pro quo offered to uncover evidence of a crime or crimes, this would be WELL WITHIN the authority of the Chief Law Enforcement Officer of the United States (which is Donald Trump).
The investigation of crimes often requires negotiation with persons with knowledge of the crime(s), and sometimes involves various trades (quid pro quo).
The Democrats are going to prove Trump offered something, or threatened something, to get information on the obvious, naked crimes of the Bidens. Whetheer this is true or false doesn't matter, they will "prove" this through perjury and 24/7 media blitzing - even if it's not true.
But it may very well be true. If withholding an aid package got the Ukraine to give up Crowdstrike, for example, Trump should get a medal for it.
Defend him because he was RIGHT, not because he didn't do it. They will have the means to nail him for doing it once Republicans all buy into the idea that IF he did it, he should be removed.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with asking a leader of another country to look into possible crimes. On the contrary, we should want our leaders to seek out wrongdoing, whether it happens at home or abroad.
Whatever happened to reading comprehension? Since this guy’s statement is in line what some people think is implied by the transcript and not the actual transcript itself I am not too impressed with this big reveal.
It does concern me that he among others makes no distinction between “I want you to investigate Joe Biden and his son” and “There’s a lot of talk about Biden’s son,. that Biden stopped the prosecution and a lot of people want to find out about that so whatever you can do with the Attorney General would be great.”
Notice that nowhere does Trump directly request an investigation of the Bidens. What he does do his ask Zelensky about Biden stopping a Ukrainian prosecution started on Hunter. But notice the words “So whatever you can do with the Attorney General (RG) would be great.” These words put the choice of what should be done in Zelensky’s hands (and later in the conversation he does agree to look into the dropped investigation). There is no direct request. There is no implied or stated backscratching. There is no urgency. There are no threats of US withholding aid. In fact it is rather casual. I almost expect to read “I’ll get around to it.”.
I find that odd for a “demand” that if not met would mean a loss of millions in military aid the the Ukraine.

This tells me the upper tier of US military is not looking out for the USA but decided to choose a political party and they are globalist. This easily explains why we have been fighting for 20 yrs. in the middle east and not one of the Joint Chiefs of staff from 2001 to now can give a coherent strategy for winning and leaving the middle east. They either can’t or won’t. At this point I suspect won’t is the problem.
This also tells me that should a democrat win the presidency who’s side the US military officer corp will support if the Democrats push for gun confiscation, hint they ain’t on the side of liberty.
