A White House national security official will tell investigators Tuesday that he listened to Donald Trump's call with Ukraine's new president Volodymr Zelensky and 'did not think it was proper.'
The president began his day on Twitter swinging at the man, Alexander Vindman, an Army lieutenant colonel who was awarded a Purple Heart in Iraq, saying he had 'never heard of' him but insisting he is a 'Never Trumper.'
Vindman is expected to testify in the House impeachment inquiry that he twice raised concerns over the Trump administration's interest in having Ukraine investigate Joe Biden and his son.
He will be the first White House official to say he heard the July 25 telephone call between Trump and Zelensky that is at the center of the impeachment inquiry.
Vindman does not appear to be the anonymous whistle-blower whose complaint about the call launched a now weeks-long chapter in the impeachment saga.
Trump vented that a transcript of the call makes it clear he did nothing wrong, and that Vindman is an unimportant figure who never crossed paths with him.
'Why are people that I never even heard of testifying about the call. Just READ THE CALL TRANSCRIPT AND THE IMPEACHMENT HOAX IS OVER! Ukrain [sic] said NO PRESSURE,' Trump tweeted.
Calling Vindman a 'Never Trumper' in the hours that followed will create confusion about whether he indeed kn him.

I know a SEAL who is retired now (O5). He EARNED his Purple Heart...
Sadly he despises Trump and all Republicans (likely due to his wife and her family).
It’s a sad thing, he was a wonderful young man and his wife has embittered him.

I had this exact same problem. I am self Employed and I don’t pay quarterly’s. I made my Wife WRITE the Check to the IRS and State every year and since I only watched Fox news and listened to Talk radio, she was thinking straight in less than 3 years, this was 15 years ago, her family is still stupid and lost though.

That is an excellent question that will never be answered by democrats...The House democrats don’t really care what is said behind closed doors...They already know which way to vote to please their party...
Doesn’t answer my question. Why would any non committee Congressmen vote with out any information to make a reasoned vote?
Vindman was discussing classified information without authorization, lock him up.
But this exactly what is broken in our current process. Key votes are forced on our Representatives with only party affiliation being the “logic” used to vote. This allows the uninformed and the outright lazy to carry the same weight as the dillegent.

Yes it does answer your question as what you are asking is customary when they follow the law. However there are parts of the system THAT ARE BROKEN BEYOND REPAIR and there is no political fix, It’s time for Constitutional reset and to start killing people and break things. It’s the only language these traitors understand.
Agreed, however I would propose we fix the hole in the ship (blind partyline voting) before we try to address changing the crew.

Whatever happened to reading comprehension? Since this guy’s statement is in line what some people think is implied by the transcript and not the actual transcript itself I am not too impressed with this big reveal.
It does concern me that he among others makes no distinction between “I want you to investigate Joe Biden and his son” and “There’s a lot of talk about Biden’s son,. that Biden stopped the prosecution and a lot of people want to find out about that so whatever you can do with the Attorney General would be great.”
Notice that nowhere does Trump directly request an investigation of the Bidens. What he does do his ask Zelensky about Biden stopping a Ukrainian prosecution started on Hunter. But notice the words “So whatever you can do with the Attorney General (RG) would be great.” These words put the choice of what should be done in Zelensky’s hands (and later in the conversation he does agree to look into the dropped investigation). There is no direct request. There is no implied or stated backscratching. There is no urgency. There are no threats of US withholding aid. In fact it is rather casual. I almost expect to read “I’ll get around to it.”.
I find that odd for a “demand” that if not met would mean a loss of millions in military aid the the Ukraine.
