The fire is spreading to the SW and East.
The map updates if you refresh, and can be zoomed in and out.
Many areas have been evacuated and others are under Evacuation Warnings.
Many areas are in power outages and planed outage areas.

If you are in the area, NBC has running coverage and commentary.
And are covering other fires close by also, Lafyette has an area of Mandatory Evacuation.
There also seems to be a fire around Vallejo.
The other local stations break in occasionally from their football and racing programming.

We have friends who live in San Rafael - right on the southern edge of the danger zone. Half of the town is under mandatory evacuation.

Map shows Calistoga east of the evacuation area (away from the west-wind direction). Maybe the map is wrong.

Good luck to all those involved both firefighters and those living in the areas affected. However, now is a time to ponder if your voting pattern of voting for LIB eco-nitwits has contributed to this calamity.

Drove through Zone 1 and Zone 3 the day prior to the start of the fires. Scenic area.

California was such a paradise before the inhabitants decided they didn’t need God anymore.

The late afternoon and evening winds are often from the west.
That is probably their concern.

Puts Napa Valley vineyards in jeopardy. Nobody needs the cost of wine to skyrocket. Hope everything turns out OK.

Saw one video of firefighters setting backfires right behind a house and vineyard.
Looked like good conditions to save the houses (there are 2 right there) and vineyard.
30,000 acres burned, and 180,000 evacuated and 79 structure burned. Kincade fire.

Sustained winds of 45mph. Gusts over 90mph.
Humidity in the low teens and single digits.
No rain since March. And another windstorm due Tuesday.
Today is the worst wind storm Norcal has seen since the 1940s.
Be safe out there.
