I heard at least one Fox news reader describe the name of the town as “geezerville” which I’m sure is not the correct pronunciation for its name.

Geyser - Ville.
they wouldn’t say ‘old Faithful Geezer’ when describing the geological phenomenon.

Geyserville is such a neat town,. too. Very much like this area was 50-100 years ago. I know it well, have played gigs there and belong to a wine club or two based there.

It’s Geyserville, Ca.

Pronounced as in OLD FAITHFUL GEYSER of Yellowstone National Park.

The town got it’s name from all the hot springs and small geysers in the area, from an underground volcanic hotspot.

Currently (at least about 15 years ago) they were generating a lot of geothermal energy there.
