For those that may be interested, here is live coverage of the fire/s in Northern Californa. 180 thousand people have been evacuated. More evacuations are being called for. WInds peaked out with gusts at 93 mph.

The only good news here is that the Spotted Owls are safe.
I assume.
HIghway 80 is closed at Carquinez Bridge...Burning through Glen Cove and threatening the town of Crockett as I speak. Grass fire on I5 around exit 524 in the vicinity of Sacramento has I5 due to smoke. Don’t know if it has been re-opened. Fires around Vallejo. Beginning to turn into a real Chitstorm...
If you have a Fire stick, look for the Mobro (sp?) app on there and they’ll usually have a live stream from the KTLA chopper flying over the fires.
It was cool watching the Air Tanker 10 (modified DC-10 airliner) doing a drop of Phos-Chek retardant ahead of one of the fires.

FYI, Northern California has many counties that vote red, just saying.
That does it. PG&E needs to cut off the power to the entire state and cement CA’s status as a third world country.
Winds at Mt. St. Helena gusting off at 74 mph this hour...
I’ve been following this on Twitter and Agenda Free tv..it’s fierce. I watched the ones in Napa a couple of years ago too, and I guess the good news is so far not nearly the loss of life and structures. I pray it stays that way.
God bless you all in NorCal.
Saw somthing similar around Glen Cove at the Carqueniz Bridge. Fire caught in the bed of a pu truck....a van was burning. It won’t be long for that place.
You are correct. Many conservative trump supporters but they are overwhelmed by LA/SF/SAC. As much I hate CA, having successfully escaped a few years ago, I wish everybody a heartfelt prayer for their safety. No matter our political differences personal and family safety is first in my thinking today. Be safe Americans and guests.
Word is another ound of PSPS coming Tueday and Wednesday. Some areas, ( like us) will have power off the whole time...
Sad. I grew up near there.
I dont recall ever seeing a wildfire in that area.

Yes, I know. I was just throwing a general dart at the environmental wackos who are the root cause of the devastation going on in Northern California.
Forest fires are inevitable. But the limitations put on PG&E have created a big multiplier on an otherwise manageable natural hazard.
I feel for the people of Northern California. I have friends there. This isnt how life was suppose to turn out.
That area is well built up since I was there 50 years ago but I remember lots of tall dry grass and dry eucalyptus woods.

My sister & B-I-L home on Fitch Mountain in Healdsburg appears to be spared so far, but in extreme jeopardy. It appears the fire circled east around the town and is approaching 101 closer to Windsor. Prayers requested for all the area residents.
Pray for everyone. We are keeping our fingers crossed here in Butte County. Any fire in our general area will sweep right through our location...due to wind direction.
