Millions of Californians are preparing to live in the dark again after the state’s largest utility warned it may cut power for the third time in as many weeks because of looming strong winds and high fire danger.

Pacific Gas & Electric will decide Saturday whether to blackout 850,000 homes and businesses in 36 counties for 48 hours or longer throughout the San Francisco Bay Area, wine country and Sierra foothills.

Anyone notice how elected local and state Democrats today simply don't give a s--t about what's going on in their cities?

There's no sense of urgency or accountability anymore. Remember Democrats of yesteryear such as Richard Daley, his son, and Mayors like La Guardia made sure basic services were running and got done.

Here you have Governor Newsom, and people like SF Mayor London Breed, who aren't even holding press conferences or creating a task force. If they do talk about the problems, it's in a passive voice and the usual liberal platitudes are spewed along with blaming "lack of federal funding." It's a totally "meh" attitude, and their lapdogs in the media won't report on it, so people don't make the correlation.

They say that steep ground cant be managed. WRONG!

Now lets say the area is brush. Send a tethered machine in with a mulcher.

90 plus per cent areas can be treated.

as i’ve posted before:

we have high winds in colorado all the time; not ONCE has the power been deliberately shutdown for that reason since i arrived here in 1975 ... i’m sure it’s happened, but i don’t recall forest fires being sparked by power lines ... 99% of our forest fires are due to:

1. lightening strikes

2. campers careless with campfires

3. hot catalytic converters

4. arson by nutjobs

Where’s the Republican LEADERSHIP?

In Caliph-phony-a, the question should be "Where are the Republicans?" I swear you could run Kim Jong-Un in this state, put a "(D)" after his name, and he'd win.

Liberals try to claim it’s because of global warming, but it’s due to a combination of high winds and California’s failing infrastructure. All the money is going to illegal aliens instead of basic government services.

The Dems of today don't have to worry about being re-elected. The slaves on their plantations will always re-elect them.
