Rep. Lance Gooden drew the ire of CNN anchor Poppy Harlow this week for mentioning “fake news” on the network.
The Texas Republican blasted the media for shrugging its collective shoulders over the Democrats’ secretive impeachment inquiry when he was ordered to watch his language on CNN’s air.
“Democrats have the right to hold this inquiry the way they are doing it now,” Ms. Harlow said Friday. “They do. That’s just a fact.”
“I’m not saying it’s illegal what they’re doing, but the American people are outraged,” he said through cross-talk. “They are outraged by this process. And the fact that the fake news media is not outraged … is pretty telling.”
“Please don’t insult the media on this network or on this show, on our show,” the anchor replied.
Ms. Harlow then chided the Republican for a Sept. 26 Twitter post, which read, “The democrats want to impeach a president trying to expose a crime, then elect a person who committed a crime.”
“You say it’s just a Twitter post, but it’s your words and your words matter a lot,” Ms. Harlow said.
“I didn’t say it’s just a Twitter post. I said you’re [comparing] a Twitter post to an impeachment inquiry,” the congressman replied.
“I apologize,” the anchor said. “I shouldn’t have added the word ‘just.’”

I have met her. She has been to my house. My son graduated from high school with her. She was a very nice and polite girl.
It is sad to see what liberalism has done to her.

The congressman should have asked her how Zucker’s 9AM conference call went that morning. Would love to see and hear her response after Project Veritas proved CNN is a purveyor of FAKE NEWS.
