Hillary Clinton compares Donald Trump to the Bible's evil and 'corrupt' King Ahab and Melania to Jezebel at Elijah Cummings' funeral as Barack Obama and Bill Clinton lead mourning for Democratic 'north star'

Clinton spoke at the funeral for the late lawmaker in Baltimore and compared him to the prophet Elijah from the Old Testament

Elijah warned against King Ahab - a corrupt leader of Israel - and Jezebel who dressed herself in fine clothing and worshiped multiple gods

She did not name Trump but the message was clear and she was applauded by a congregation which included Bill Clinton and Barack Obama, who also both offered eulogies

Republican lawmakers were at the service but no official White House representative attended

Cummings probed the Trump administration as House Oversight chairman and was leading part of the impeachment inquiry; this summer Trump called his Baltimore district 'rat-infested'

The former secretary of state said that like Cummings, who died this month at 68, the prophet 'stood against corrupt leadership of King Ahab and Queen Jezebel.'

She did not name the president - but her message could hardly have been clearer; Cummings was one of the leaders of the current impeachment inquiry into the president.

Her comment drew loud applause from a crowd gathered to honor the late House Oversight Committee chairman in Baltimore, with two former presidents, Barack Obama and Bill Clinton in attendance,

Ahab was a corrupt and evil king of Israel; Jezebel was his wife, a Phoenician princess who adorned herself in fine clothing and jewelry, and worshiped the false god Baal, only to ultimately meet her doom. In the Old Testament Elijah brought the kingdom of Israel back to the true path of God.

wow - I just read a book by some Rabbi where he did an in-depth comparison of the story of Ahab and Jezebel and compared them to Bill and Hillary. The parallels were spot on!
