Not for long. Half the GOP will vow never to vote Republican ever again. If these people are too stupid to understand that, they'll be retired the next time they run. Within 6 years, the GOP will cease to exist. It will be a laughingstock. The party that shot themselves in the head.

It’s completely obvious they do not care, in fact they are planning for it by supporting amnesty for illegal aliens and a permanent majority for Democrats.

What makes you think they should care?
Do they need to be GOP?
If they do the dirty deed, they will for sure be comfortably paid and they can step down to spend more time with their families.
Every US Senator is bought and paid for, every last one of them. Don’t we know there are spies that know exactly who is behind controlling each one? And that the war for power would have tho financial backers behind GOP Senators cased and doxxed? If those financial strings are cut, a Senator goes adrift. Not all Senators but perhaps 20 GOP Senators can be tied down to a new controller.
