Disgusting behavior, but speech should not be illegal. I think the law is unconstitutional.
To: grundle
Just because this Constitution thing you talk about doesn't allow it, hate speech prosecutions are alive and well.
How much of a leap is it from "Not my president!" and "the Electoral College is obsolete!"?

She was using racial slurs against a person of color, said Scott Pribble, spokesman for CU Boulder police. And some shouting of some language that was not appropriate.
Now a cause for arrest

Basically the wacko broad was disturbing the peace and should have been locked up. One minor thought...What if she was unemployed and homeless and wanted to spend the winter in jail with free everything till spring arrived. Boulder would be about the perfect place especially if she could get into the mental health ward. Seriously, there are ways to a means. Of course, I could be wrong about all of this. And yes the loony tune female should have been arrested for disturbing the peace and for disorderly conduct.

A “racial slur” is now a crime? I assume this is narrowly limited such that, for example, “odious honkey” would not be deemed to be criminal?
