""""Vice President Mike Pences Big Brother Is Sitting In On Congresss Closed-Door Impeachment Depositions""""
WASHINGTON As dozens of House members in charge of the impeachment investigations sit in on closed-door depositions about Ukraine, at least one person in the room has unusually close ties to President Donald Trumps administration Vice President Mike Pences older brother, Rep. Greg Pence.
The first-term member of Congress sits on the House Foreign Affairs Committee, one of three House committees leading the impeachment investigation (along with the House Intelligence and Oversight committees). He was assigned to the committee earlier this year by members of the Republican House Steering and Policy committees, long before the impeachment inquiry began.
Pence has had access to all the closed-door testimonies of officials speaking on Trumps actions, USUkraine relations, and the controversial phone call between Trump and the Ukrainian president, which sparked the official impeachment investigation.
When asked if Pence should recuse himself because of his relationship with the vice president, Rep. Adam Schiffs office deferred to the House Foreign Affairs Committee, which then declined to comment. Several Democratic lawmakers told BuzzFeed News they didnt realize the representative served on the committee.

How about Pelosi?
She has the most to gain by an impeachment.
She's next in line for presidency after VP Pence. Imagine that. Getting into an office that you never were elected to.
Nothing like a conflict of interest there.
Vice President Trump is standing strong for President Trump.
Congressman Pence is one of 16 R’s who have not asked for Schiff to be removed from his committee chairmanship.

I agree with Congressman Pence on this. Leave Schiff where he is. Let the country see first hand what crazy looks like.
Huh?
There is a question I often ask myself. If Vice president Pence somehow ended up becoming president then would he continue the war against the swamp? Or would he just buckle like all the leaders before Trump. Pence really does not talk enough to know what he really believes about many things. I don’t sense that he would be a fighter.
Weighing in as an expert source on the subject of conflict of interest is David Preiss, CEO of Lawfare.
Alrighty then. No agenda there.
The claim made in the OP, that Greg Pence’s assignment to the committee us coincidental or even unknown to other members, sounds to me like pure BS.
FWIW, IMO Greg Pence’s presence there could be a very good or a very bad thing. But neutral or unknown it ain’t.
He’s assuredly having conversations with his bro re: the closed-door proceedings, which in turn might or might not be getting relayed back to Trump by his VP.
Greg’s participation will be quite useful either to Trump’s defenders or to the coup plotters.
The questions needing to be asked: in which group is Mike Pence?
I have always questioned VP Pence’s loyalty. Fundamentalist Christians support Pence because they consider him to be one of them. It would take a mountain of evidence and repeated backhands from Pence before they abandoned him. They’re no different than Mormons in that respect, IMO.
“Pelosi...has the most to gain by an impeachment. She’s next in line for presidency after VP Pence...”
Do you assume Pence would be skipped over?
Or that Pence would be impeached & removed too?
Either of these implausible eventualities would be stone cold, in the voters’ faces, undeniable evidence that a COUP has taken place.
In fact, Pence is the one who, at this point, has the most to gain.
See my post # 8.
I'm sorry, but wouldn't VP Pence have the most to gain if Trump were successfully impeached, convicted and removed from office?
Or assassination.....
Yes, if Pence was around. And I doubt that Pence would be safe.
But of the dems involved in the process, she has the most to gain.
I should have been more clear.
Maybe, maybe not.
I support him because Trump trusted him enough to pick him. If he turns, then nope, no support for him, claims of being a Christians notwithstanding.
There's also such a thing as integrity. I have no respect for someone who is so weak as to cave, or dishonest as to betray those who supported him.

You might want to rethink that because for me at least, that is NOT true.
I do not put religious affiliation above all else, that one can do no wrong if they CLAIM to believe as I do.
So if Pence caves, he does not get my support, Christian or not. It's not about his religion, it's about his fidelity to the country and Constitution.
Trump was in that situation for the 2016 election. I didn't support Trump because he claimed to be a Christian, but because I supported his positions on what I consider very important topics and I thought he could be trusted to keep his campaign promises.
Innocent until proven guilty. Pence has backed President Trump for 3 years. Trump has no beef with him. What's yours?
True dat.
I’ve no doubt the Dems have a Lone Crazed Assassin on standby as we speak.
As well as a couple of Jack Rubys who’ll immediately assassinate the assassin.
God is protecting President Trump and we need to uphold him in prayer as much as we can.
Agreed. Every day.
