The New York Times was widely criticized on Monday for what was described as a "puff piece" about Hillary Clinton over her recent attacks on Rep. Tulsi Gabbard and President Trump, suggesting she's a "master troll."
In an analysis piece from Times reporter Lisa Lerer, she questioned whether Clinton was "trolling us," listing her "corrupt human tornado" insult towards Trump, her unsubstantiated suggested that the Russians were "grooming" Gabbard, D-Hawaii, as a Russian asset in 2020, and sharing a fake letter mocking Trump's recent, casually worded missive to Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, which neither she nor Lerer credited "Jimmy Kimmel Live" for creating.
"Welcome to Hillary Unplugged," Lerer wrote. "For most of her public career, Mrs. Clinton has been constrained by the expectations of her position, be it first lady, senator or secretary of state. Now, after her stunning loss in 2016, it seems she finally feels liberated to speak her mind."

Well at the very least, a whole lot of them buy into her doing it. No doubt many of them do too.
Hillary sounds like a mental case who actually believes her own loony claims. Maybe she is trying to imitate Trump, who is pretty good at trolling. If so, she is failing miserably. When Trump tweeted about a third term, even intellectually challenged Newsweek understood that he was joking. Media reactions to Hillary’s accusation about Gabbard were mixed, but I think this is the only one which tries to make the case that she was “trolling.”
My favorite comment was Dagen MacDowell saying it was like Hillary taking butt selfies and posting them on instagram.
The last time Hillary tried to be all hip and stuff, we got “Pokémon Go to the polls and vote,” one of the more hilariously cringey moments of the 2016 election.
