Violent crimes cases across Boulder County surged from 2013 to 2018, a trend that corresponds with a rising number of felony case filing across the state.
According to Boulder County District Attorney Michael Dougherty, state felony case filings spiked nearly 45% in five years. In Boulder County, the majority of new felony case filings were for violent crimes, which saw a 32% increase from 2013 to 2018.

Violent crimes include cases that involve assault, robbery, vehicular homicide, crimes against at-risk individuals, bias-motivated crimes, murder, attempted murder and stalking. In Boulder County, Dougherty said domestic violence is the countys most significant crime.
There are a few reasons Dougherty suspects the rise in violent crime cases both across the state and in Boulder County. One, he said, is likely due to the states population increase. Boulder County alone saw 10.7% rise in its population between 2010 and 2018, according to the Denver Post. The other reason, he said, is likely due to a need for more substance abuse and mental health services.

and/or it could be the weedheads needing money to buy all that legal pot and what better source of money then to steal from other people.....
Im stuck in Longmont. Too expensive in Boulder. Or as we say Longtucky. Yeah, have to call the police 2 to 3x a week for noise complaints. Parties at 2 to 4 am in the morning. See lots of license plates from Mexico. Its the NAPA-wannabes that have the parties. Lots of homeless in the streets in both Boulder and Longmont.
Or the mall near Canyon Blvd and 28th Street. Homeless seen to camp at the McDonalds and Burger King there.
In my complex I live at in Longmont, lots of Mexicans, Bumbay and white trash. Yeah, multiculturalism.
The district attorneys restorative justice programs implement a diversion model, which can offer offenders an alternative to prosecution, meaning they dont have to plead guilty and their case can be dismissed. This is contingent upon the completion of the program and making efforts to repair harm. A failure to complete the program sends the persons case back to a judge for sentencing.
That made me laugh...who are they?
Boulder, 34 square miles surrounded by reality, and illegals.
I don’t go to web sites that refuse to let me read unless I turn off my ad blocker.
If the numbnuts knew anything about designing advertising that didn’t annoy their readers, ad blockers would not be needed.
Indians. Lots of H1Bs working in Boulder. Filipinos call Indians Bumbay as they stink like bumbay onions (also a reference to Bombay)
Soon as my lease is up, moving NE to the Greeley area. Lots more gun ranges and conservatives there.
