I guess you’ll take it to your grave.
Levin voted for Trump in 2016.
He is relentless in his defense of Trump.
I am thankful for him.
After Levin had viciously attacked Trump up until near September 10th, he then said he’d vote for him.
All year up until then he had trashed Trump on issue after issue after issue, going into great detail how terrible he would be.
Did he take all that back? Did he make up for it some way. Did he express how wrong he had been?
No.
So he slinked off and voted for Trump on the day.
How many of his die-hard “never-Trumper” fans had been so convinced by him at that point that Trump was the end of the nation, that they simply couldn’t for Trump themselves?
We’ll never know.
Levin had spend at least two decades telling us what his core beliefs were, and then spent months letting his field of influence think it was no difference if Hillary or Trump were elected.
That destroyed his credibility to me. It said, nah, I didn’t really mean what I advocated for over the last two decades. Hillary is no worse than Trump.
Now he’s the darling of folk who think personality trumps being loyal to the cause.
Mark was right. He could pull ever trick in the book trying to deep six Trump in favor of Hillary, and his fans would just ignore it.
