Bingo. I used to live and work in the RGV. Local media would report on the cartel’s activity in Texas and about all the OTM’s that were coming over the border. But the media in the major cities, San Antonio, Austin, Houston, Dallas all ignored it. It was like the news stopped at the federal checkpoints on 281 or 77. This goes back to the early 2000’s.

And our shyster lawyers sue legitimate drug companies. Our side is every bit as corrupt just minus the violence.
The Cartels will get into any business that makes money, drugs for sure, but they are also into Human Trafficking supposedly everyone coming up from Mexico and Central Americas has to pay the cartels to pass....
I don’t think it will ever happen, but if guns specifically AR-15s and AK-47s get banned in the USA and confiscated as Beto O’Rourke has suggested, the next major item smuggled across the border would be illegal weapons trade...
It wouldn’t stop with AR-15s and AK-47s, it would be everything imaginable.....
You want to see violence, the guns get banned in the USA and it will be Armageddon along the border and it major cities that makes what’s happening now seem like childs play...

I think there are many politicians that are getting monies from the cartels. If they are willing to bribe the President of Mexico with $100 Million dollars then the congressmen and women that represent the districts along the border can be had for chump change. If one were to look at their actions it makes the only plausible explanation.
China is on the move and Mexico is on the verge of collapsing and we are debating Syria. Unbelievable!
The US and Mexico could freeze their bank accounts in a couple of days at most. We have aircraft that can monitor every pedestrian and car in a city. We could fly above a city and figure out which buildings and cars the cartel uses. In a month or so we could strike with SWAT team on these locations. In two months, there would be nothing left.

You’re probably right, which begs the question of why hasn’t it been done? You could say Mexico hasn’t invited us, but I’m sure we could cut a deal in which we provided them ‘contractors’.
Makes me wonder who and how many are in US government that are connected to the cartels, or getting paid off by them.
If you can think of something bad that a politician would do, they’ve probably done it or are doing it.
I know a MISSIONARY who works on the border of Mexico. A true man of God who preaches the Gospel of Jesus Christ. He doesn’t have a political bone in his body.
He said if the average, hard working American, knew how evil the forces on the southern border were; from the sex-trafficking, drug smuggling, human smuggling, and violent gangs, they would volunteer to help build an impenetrable 100 foot high fence immediately.
It just means we need to get that wall built.

Not if the left have it’s say. Under no uncertain terms will they give the Prez a win.
As much as I hate to say this, the root causes of the drug problem in Mexico is a bunch of pansy pantsed liberals in the USA snorting up their paychecks through their nose.
We need to do like Ryan did in “Executive Orders” and start making the buyers of drugs do street and highway cleaning in West Texas and the Rural South. But that would take our idiots in DC to actually “want” to solve the problem.

Need a more encompassing plan.
Make sure there’s no moles. Their bribes are very large.
As soon as these guys are hit once, and figure out our method, they will kidnap or kill family members of their opposition (real or imagined). And bribe officials, military, LEO on both sides of border.
Their tentacles extend into the US. Our SWAT and military members’ families can be targeted.
So, instead of sending SWAT, send some guided Hellfires, LGB’s, etc., and obliterate these locations. Include the HQs of the leaders (when they’re there). Coordinate for an attack on all locations at once.
Then the A-10s and Gunships, etc. to mow down the scattering Las Cucarachas.
Go big or stay home (and wait for invasion).
