I had an admitted Communist prof at the U of Illinois back in the 50's. So...a loooong time ago.

I’ll never forget that striking Chicago teacher from a few years back who proudly proclaimed while on the picket line, “I teaches English.”

Will anyone even notice that the teachers are not in the classroom.

The only question of any importance is whether the poor kids sentenced to the Chicago Public School System will learn less if the teachers go on strike or if those teachers actually show up in the classroom.
