Senate Republican anger with President Trump over the pullout of American troops from northern Syria is so fervent that it could weaken the intensity of support he needs to avoid conviction in the Senate after an expected impeachment by the House.
Trump’s hold on the GOP base is a critical reason why few, if any, Republican senators are likely to vote to remove him in the event of an impeachment trial. But GOP operatives with relationships in the Senate say Republicans are so disgusted with the president’s moves in Syria, it could discourage otherwise sympathetic lawmakers from voicing a robust public defense.
“The collective punch after punch after punch might have an impact,” a Republican lobbyist said. “All the other nonsense you can kind of brush off and say he’s insane and he’s a jackass. But now we’re causing an international crisis because of his incompetence.”

Graham did a 180 on Sunday Morning Futures with Maria Bartiromo today. He had a meeting with trump last night and now supports Trump and thinks his moves in Syria have a good chance at success. Stay tuned.
Their attitude will undergo adjustment as Lindsey Graham’s was if they know whats good for them.
