Your post #98 just explained why Hallmark is doing so well with 3 cable channels. The movies are usually just a variation of a previous year’s offering, but there are no visible tattoos, piercings, or hair-colors not found in nature. Even the black characters have names you would recognize, with no apostrophes in them. And the treatment of veterans and emergency workers is more than fair. Now, if only they had fewer shows involving food contests.....

The left has been influencing our lives for many decades. My father was a company commander in the 1st Cav Army (tanks) and nothing got him hotter than Hollywood”s depictions of the officers being airheads in war movies. So many of the movies revolved around an enlisted guy being a hero and having to save all the men from the mistakes of the lieutenant.

Here’s my take...
Syria is run by a dictator named Assad the Giraffe Neck, son of the more evil dictator who ran it from the 1950s onward.
Some Syrians wanted freedom from the dictator. The problem with the Middle East is that many of the people only wanted Assad to lose and for Islam to invoke Sharia law and start cutting of infidels heads. Funny how Islamicists fighting for “Freedom” really mean freedom to oppress under the Green/Black flag of Islam.
So our own Deep State and Obama thought this was a great idea, as they were all for overthrowing dictators all over the Middle East and “Letting a thousand flowers bloom”, to quote Mao-sies Tongue, and getting hot oil and pipeline jobs for their drug-addicted lay-about sons.
Everywhere we did this, however, the whole place jumped from the frying pan right into the fire.
Somalia.
Iraq.
Tunisia (it actually worked here, no thanks to us).
Egypt (Luckily Sissi got that back).
Libya.
Yemen.
Syria.
ALL became worse hellholes than before. A couple got better-—the rest, not so good.
Now we had ISIS and Syria blew up in their faces.
The refugee crisis was just a way to get on the Youropeein gravy train and spread Islamic “freedom” to soon to be blowed up, stabbed, shot and run over unsuspecting Pierre, Hans and Luigi.
Obama let it fester into a YUGE cluster F and Trump campaigned to fix it by CRUSHING the Islamists and getting out of the Middle East “Freedom” business.
Well, Trump won, and he did.
What I find amazing, and the reason why I am replying is, WTF does Graham and all these other Deep State Warmongers think is going on with Syria????
News Flash, Linda... Assad won. Syria is back in the saddle and we need to acknowledge what is simply the truth.
Turkey is going to lose here also. Hey Erdogan, Syria is not your country (!) and you will eventually be pushed out.
So what is going on is just a moment in time. The final push, the Bulge, the last hurrah, what ever you want to call it, but Assad has the Russians and Turkey doesn’t have the USA thanks to Pres. Trump, so this too will change.
This is what the propaganda press did to Mulvaney. They asked the same question many times, each one trying for the perfect when -did -you -stop -beating - your - wife expression. I think he just got frustrated and rushed that comment. The press won their sound bite, to be further framed by a long and biased introductory narrative so the LIV will really believe that Trump did a criminal act. Well, as a retired Senior NCO, I can tell you that the airheaded El Tee is NOT a myth.
I can regale you with hundreds of true and only slightly embellished stories.
Still, by the time I was a Master Sergeant, the commander would tell the LT’s to stick around me and learn something.
The good ones did, and I still remember and admire them. Some made very high rank... I do need to check on where they’re at. It’s 22 plus years since I retired, so if any made General, they’d be that now.
The only Sunday Morning Talk Show I watch is Sunday Morning Futures with Maria Bartiromo. The rest of them including Chris Wallace on Fox are nothing more than Left Wing/Democrat Propogandists.

Mulvaney was very clear this morning on Fox News Sunday. Despite Wallass’s attempt to derail/distract him, he articulated a very strong message re Ukraine and Doral.
I was at an event put on by a local Republican woman’s group last week. Everyone in that room appeared to despise Graham. Comments were hilarious.
They are also really mad about the newest congress critter Republican from our area (Wm Timmons) who voted with the Rats to condemn POTUS’s Syria decision. Many called him in DC and gave him an earful( as did I.)
I came away thinking people are fed up, stirred up and ready to rumble.

AB...congrats...you are the only one I have heard sum up the entire $hit hole of the Middle East in present times. I was stationed in Turkey along the Syrian border in an F4 Squadron a million years ago in precisely the geographic area that will now become a vital DMZ between Turkey and Syria. Providing we use our Air Force to enforce peace and also secure the Syrian oil fields from Iran, Trump will come out of this as a genius. ISIS will not survive with both Assad and the Kurds on their butts. They will always present a challenge, just as cockroaches in some homes, but will not be allowed to gather in mass.
