Boris to be forced to beg for delay after Tory rebel Letwin sinks Brexit deal

BORIS Johnson will write to the EU to ask for another Brexit delay TONIGHT after Tory rebel Sir Oliver Letwin trashed his chance to make history today.

In a day of high-drama in the House of Commons, MPs voted for the Tory rebel’s wrecking amendment by 322 to 306, and torpedoed Boris' plans to pass a deal.

Super Saturday turned into Pointless Saturday after the Tory rebel sabotaged Boris' Brexit bid with Parliamentary antics.

Instead the PM must now ask the EU for a THIRD time to delay Britain's departure from the EU.

Boris had hoped that MPs would have finally backed a Brexit deal three YEARS after the public voted to leave, but instead they opted for yet more dither and delay.

The Government decided to cancel the main Brexit vote after the plot won the day - prompting disgusted Tory MPs to walk out of the chamber in dramatic scenes.

The Remainer plan will kick Boris' big Brexit vote into the long grass for another day until ALL the legislation to get us out of the EU is done.

Not to worry. Prime Minister Corbyn will have his promised “people’s referendum” (”people” being used in the same manner as “People’s Republic of China” or “Democratic People’s Republic of North Korea”), Brexit will finally be dead and buried, and the UK can continue to be an intrinsic, and irrevocable part of the EU.

I don't know much about British law...or British courts...but there's no way that any nation would vote against an extension.Frau Merkel just wouldn't have it (if you catch my drift).

“They have 1000 years of governing history, forged through the deaths of untold numbers of people, and by several events that risked the entire nation to move the needle forward, AND THIS is what it grinds down on?”

The United Kingdom has found a way to suffer abject defeat since the Norseman William the Conqueror kicked their ass in 1066 and it happened in 1688 and was called the ‘The Glorious Revolution’.

Essentially William of Orange invaded with a massive Dutch naval armada and landed in Torbay, Devon, in November 1688. King James ran away and the English weak sucks surrendered. It wasn't a revolution, it was a conquering.

This is why we must pay no attention to what the EU says. Their remoaner allies are doing the dirty work and they are free to conceal their true goals.

Hitler employed the wrong methods, he went through a lot of people and material and ends up losing a war. He could of just gone this way and not a shot fired and subjugate a former sovereign nation. This is beyond sad.

That was apparently to me visiting Eastern Europe in the 90s. Prague in particular was flooded with partying Germans who paraded up and down the main drag in their Mercedes/BMW. It was clear to me then that Germans invade with Mercedes now and not Panzers.

That’s my position to. Sovereignty needs to be asserted, not asked for. What are they going to do? Send EU troops into the UK and arrest Boris?

You just tell them “we’re done” and leave...start behaving as though you’re now independent - like policing you’re own fishing territory.

The problem is that administratively written deals are too complex and difficult to understand.

UK Politicians are afraid to buy into things they can’t understand and that are probably bad.

The EU said it would not give anymore delays if this bill were defeated. The Remain group refuse to let Boris win since they want to maintain power. They will do anything to stop a general election.

They don’t want a new election... all they can do is try to delay the inevitable but the clock is running out on them.

Johnson would love to dissolve Parliament but he doesn’t have the votes.

Yup. Brexit is going to happen. All of this is Kabuki theater.

And Johnson won’t be sending an Art. 49 letter revoking Brexit to Brussels anytime soon.

Juncker said that. Juncker is a civil servant.

The real executive in the EU, namely the leaders of the 27 countries, said they don’t rule it out.

The reason is that, when the UK’s economy gets hit post Brexit, the leaders who refused an extension will be blamed by the leavers.

Oh my boy that is so not true about divorce.

Both sides dont have to agree. Judge tells you how it’s gonna be. So many guys know this as truth.

Judge demands you sell assets. Judfe demands you hire court experts and cant contest any charges. Judge tells you what alimony will be, what alimony 2 and 3 will be.

It would be illegal under the Benn Act, and would be akin to President Andrew Jackson’s response to the Supreme Court in Worcester v. Georgia,

“(Chief Justice) John Marshall has made his decision now let him enforce it”

But President Jackson got away with it and to this day has his image on a double sawbuck.

What's Parliament going to do? Ask Pelosi to impeach him?

And you are conveniently leaving out Queen Mary II the daughter of of the deposed King James II.   It's not like King Billy just mustered an army of Dutchmen to take the English crown.   It was taken for one of the natural successors in order to restore the Anglican Church of England to the British crown.

There may be some nuances to the ‘Glorious Revolution’ but the fact is the William of Orange brought a lot of the ‘freaky-deaky’ Dutch with him and it was imposed with Dutch guns and these Dutchmen did quite well in terms of power, prestige, and money.

If that snaky Mittens Romney was forced into hiding with his extended Mormon family in Mexico (great-grandfather Miles Park Romney went there when polygamy was outlawed in Utah) and then invaded America with Mexican troops would you call that a revolution too?

Well not a revolution, no, because every American Citizen is sovereign unto himself with no royal personage over us.   Elder Romney would have had no original claim for a revolution glorious or not. Only an indictment for crimes committed, that he was a fugitive from.

Arguing that it was a revolution based On a world view that died in WW I that royal blood defined a nation? That is some weak sauce.

Charles II was a subsidised puppet of the French King Louis XIV. Probably not someone who deserves to be in the pantheon of Britains greatest heads of state.

William of Orange was invited into the country by Englands most powerful nobles and gentry to overthrow the unpopular James II. It was not so much an invasion, as a coup.

He insisted on a written invitation and would not have landed his troops had he not been invited in and been assured that the English army would have defected, as they did.

I guess you could paint the immortal seven as traitors for inviting a foreign force to take power, but considering the alternative was the unravelling of the achievements of the Civil War and the establishment of an absolute monarchy, it was probably for the best, as it led to the Glorious Revolution that set established the ground for the later American Revolution in advancing the cause of constitutional governance instead of Louis XIV’s l etat c’est moi model of governance.
