Boris to be forced to beg for delay after Tory rebel Letwin sinks Brexit deal

BORIS Johnson will write to the EU to ask for another Brexit delay TONIGHT after Tory rebel Sir Oliver Letwin trashed his chance to make history today.

In a day of high-drama in the House of Commons, MPs voted for the Tory rebel’s wrecking amendment by 322 to 306, and torpedoed Boris' plans to pass a deal.

Super Saturday turned into Pointless Saturday after the Tory rebel sabotaged Boris' Brexit bid with Parliamentary antics.

Instead the PM must now ask the EU for a THIRD time to delay Britain's departure from the EU.

Boris had hoped that MPs would have finally backed a Brexit deal three YEARS after the public voted to leave, but instead they opted for yet more dither and delay.

The Government decided to cancel the main Brexit vote after the plot won the day - prompting disgusted Tory MPs to walk out of the chamber in dramatic scenes.

The Remainer plan will kick Boris' big Brexit vote into the long grass for another day until ALL the legislation to get us out of the EU is done.

“The answer given will be “Why didn’t you bring that to the negotiating table earlier?””

As long as the answer isn’t, “Sure, let’s renegotiate!”, Boris wins.

boris can put an end to this by simply doing nothing at all... (albeit at slight risk to his neck)

will boris become the next british guy fawkes?

Note to Boris: Don’t ask for a delay; just leave as scheduled. The U.K. CANNOT get any deal from the EU to exit the EU without the EU continuing to supercede U.K. sovereignty on too many matters in trade, military affairs, foreign affairs and law; as the “deal” Boris got demonstrates clearly.

What a ClusterF for the majority of Brits who voted to leave.
Don’t think this will end well for Boris, unless he works a deal with Farage.

It would be illegal under the Benn Act, and would be akin to President Andrew Jackson’s response to the Supreme Court in Worcester v. Georgia,

“(Chief Justice) John Marshall has made his decision now let him enforce it”

I told you that they were going to delay!

The goal is to have a second referendum.

Many MPs are already saying that the BRexit vote was 3 years ago and the will of the people needs to be measured again.

The socialists do not give up power willingly. It requires violence.

That is why you never start down the road toward socialism. It only ends in disaster,

Hitler employed the wrong methods, he went through a lot of people and material and ends up losing a war. He could of just gone this way and not a shot fired and subjugate a former sovereign nation. This is beyond sad.

I understand that. We, here in the Good Ole U.S.of A. have been going down that road for a while. And we have gone a great distance.

Let’s play out “Boris does nothing”

First, the courts might rule that Boris MUST follow the will of Parliament.

Regardless of what the court decides, they will vote no-confidence in Boris and have an election where a Remain MP can take over.

That Remain PM will either beg for more time or schedule a second referendum.

I fear we are too far down the socialist hole that we cannot go back without violence.

Much hangs on Barr and the IG report.

Agreed. Fully. The EUronazis have accomplished what their parents couldn’t quite do. Russia will fall next? ( after Putin probably).

Interesting headline. Form the PM himself: "I will not negotiate a delay with the EU and neither does the law compel me to do so."

Is that ever true.

And John Marshall did exactly.... what? Zip.

the Trail of Tears followed. Dispossession of titled Georgia lands, titled to the highly assimilated Cherokee/American families who also owned slaves. Dispossession of all property including slaves, land, livestock. Forced exodus to Oklahoma. The story quite well documented.

All because of gold discovered (and still mined) in Dahlonega, GA.

Should add that certain Georgia political types— the greedy lying thieving bastards... pushed this on their own fellow TITLED citizens. That is something to think about. What should have happened, and would in today’s world— would have been a shooting war— the very adept settlers of N. Ga against— what, other militia, or murderous gangs.

See: Cumberland Plateau wars during, before and after the Civil War in TN/KY.

how long would the courts take to determine if boris broke the law?

i would imagine at least a week including appeals.

if parliament wants to vote no confidence in boris they would already have done it— afraid of corwyn?

a caretaker pm cant do much of anything much less void democracy by scheduling another referendum i think. or at least by convention.

if boris does nothing eventually it would be up to the queen to arrest him. but what then if the queen also does nothing, claiming it is purely a political matter?

Theoretically, the bad people think they have Boris boxed in. But Boris has three outs. If he asks for a delay and just one of the EU says no then it is hard Brexit. He could still come up with a successful vote for the Brexit deal. He could just say that the law doesn’t compel him to ask for a delay. Bad people would have to go to court and miss the hard Brexit deadline. I think he is doing the last one to force the second one.

I'll bet everything I own that the East German who calls the tune in Europe wins in the end. No Brexit whatsoever.

Europe's Swamp is powerful...and,as I mentioned,is run by an *East* German.
