Right, the Russians are an easy target because of their ethnicity. They are still dangerous but I think the Chinese have surpassed them. Militarily, China has probably surpassed them. They are probably more technologically advanced as well. Both realities are due to their economic power aided by Washington’s policies.

Has nothing to do with my comment that the ginning up of the Soviet union was a tactic to insure that the MIC got what they wanted in the form of massive taxpayer funding from scared citizens in the western sphere. The proof was when the Soviet Union fell all there vaunted weapons were basically garbage and a conventional war with them would of been a big win for the west.
The Russians are part of the American psyche as bad guys and need to be put in a box. That is not to say that the Russians are not bad - just that they are a convenient whipping boy. The Ukrainians, Chi-coms, NORKs and Arab players are a bigger threat in the electronic world we live in. All of their programs together make the Russians look like a Pop Warner Team.
