Politics aside, the Clintons are renowned for hating the military. Unless it’s expedient to use them otherwise. Hillary does not have a fondness for Secret Service although she begrudgingly uses them for protection.
During the Clinton years a quasi dress code was instituted for the military in that a military presence (in uniform) was a particularly welcomes around the White House, or that section of the District.
I know more than a few military folks that would go out of their way to be seen walking around the White House and government District in uniform.
If it could have been a burr under the saddle blanket of the Clinton administration it was worth doing.
So HRH HRC and the remarks she made towards Tulsi Gabbard are not all that surprising, even though they both share the same party affiliation. I don’t really care for the politics of Tulsi Gabbard and absolutely loathe the politics of the offending individual in this matter, but it is knowingly a statement made by somebody with deep resentment for the protection and the Uniformed Services of this country, and that should be alarming.
