Maya Rockeymoore Cummings, the widow of Rep. Elijah Cummings (D-Md.), on Thursday said in a statement that her late husband “worked until his last breath.”
“Congressman Cummings was an honorable man who proudly served his district and the nation with dignity, integrity, compassion and humility. He worked until his last breath because he believed our democracy was the highest and best expression of our collective humanity and that our nation’s diversity was our promise, not our problem,” she said.
“It’s been an honor to walk by his side on this incredible journey. I loved him deeply and will miss him dearly,” Rockeymoore Cummings, who serves as the chairwoman of the Maryland Democratic Party, added.

According to the Daily Caller News Foundation Maya Rockeymoore Cummings’s charity, called the “Center for Global Policy Solutions” (CGPS), paid her for-profit venture, “Global Policy Solutions LLC”, over $250,000 in “management fees” between 2013 and 2015, according to the charity’s audited financial statements.

If she’s lucky, she’ll end up with just a fine (probably in the $50k range), and have two years of probation. Beyond that, she’s ensured that there’s zero political gain in her future.

Cummings are is shown as 68. When I saw that I assumed it was a typo and should have read 86. He did not age well.
