On Thursday, President Donald Trump — who has made several trips to the state while in office — will be in Dallas. This time he'll be in Texas as an incumbent seeking re-election, working to win the state's 38 hotly sought after electoral votes in 2020.
The president, joined by thousands of expected attendees, will be at the American Airlines Center on Oct. 17 at 7 p.m. CDT.
As he travels to the Lone Star State, Trump is tied up in controversy around the impeachment inquiry into conversations with the Ukraine president. This will be his first time in the state since those proceedings began.
The same day Trump stumps in Dallas, Democratic Presidential Candidate Beto O'Rourke will be in nearby Grand Prairie hosting a counter rally.
Here's what we know about Trump's visit to Dallas:
When and where is it being held?
The rally is at the American Airlines Center north of the heart of downtown Dallas at 7 p.m. CDT.
Attendees are allowed to start lining up at 6 a.m. and aren’t permitted on the property before then, according to the center’s website. Chairs and stacks are allowed while waiting to get inside, but not in the building.
Doors open at 4 p.m.

We still have easily one third of the seats available.
I walked around and saw lines still at the entrances, though.
We just saw some of the audience in a conga line on the screen behind Elizabeth MacDonald. Looks like an enormous party.

I just heard Brad Parscale amping up the crowd to do some cheers. The microphones are set so that it sounded like about 500 people a block away were cheering. In reality, the crowd noise is so loud that you can hardly hear the person next to you say something. I wonder who controls the sound feed.

Here in the arena at 6:20. About 8,000 people inside and easily 15,000 to 20,000 outside. The lines to get in are moving terribly slowly.
Now a good 1/4 of the seats are still open.
We were told Trump is delayed, so that will let more get in.
They haven’t handed many signs out yet. I went to a Trump booth and an older guy handing them out stopped and yelled at us saying people would be coming by with signs and we didn’t need to get them from their official booth. We still have none.
Must really be doing an extra careful job of screening the crowd.
Maybe TSA was hired. LOL
May I suggest starting a chant of "CNN Sucks"?
