the House passed a resolution in a 354-60 vote that rebuked Trumps decision to retreat from Syria???????
All they needed to do was vote on a Declaration of War against Syria, so why the dog and pony show? Trump should respond with exactly that
WHEN CONGRESS DECLARES WAR!! we will go back
Then let them declare war.
Utter meaningless PR stunts.Just another day in our Do Nothing at all Usefull Democrat Fascist Congress. Yo bozos. How about you get busy and do YOUR JOBS instead of trying to tell the President how to do his? Where is a bill on Border Security? Immigration Reform? Voter ID? A Balanced Federal Budget? Legal Reform? in fact where have you bozos done anything at all for the last 2 years? You bozos so gung ho? They declare war clowns. THAT IS your job Morons.
Sometimes I get lucky :)
It’s like a gunfight for the fastest draw sometimes around here :)
Since I have no life I can win 20 percent of the time :)
Dems left the meeting early but Trump had a meltdown. No bias there.
Why don’t they vote for a declaration of war?
President Trump told them that was an option.
He was complimentary! At best she’s 5th rate.

...
I think he Tweeted that a couple of days ago.
I don’t know much about the Turkey Syrian Kurd issue but I trust Trump more than the career politicians. I’m with Trump 100% on his foreign policy decisions.
Far far too kind. Third rate is a bronze medal in the Olympics.
The Botoxed Beyotch is third rate cheap-looking bimbo. Between too much Botox, pancake makeup and falling-out dentures, Trump was far too kind in his description of her.
NOTE, Trump has not STARTED any wars, yet, unlike the chosen one (Nobel Peace Prize) attacking Libya for no reason that involved the US.
It would be interesting if only those representatives who could correctly answer a short quiz on the different factions of Kurds and name the countries in which they primarily live had been allowed to vote on the resolution. Most probably couldnt even find those countries on a map.
She wouldnt even look good at closing time thru beer goggles..............
“Just before lawmakers left for the meeting, the House passed a resolution in a 354-60 vote that rebuked Trumps decision to retreat from Syria.”
Well, if the house did its job, Trump wouldn’t have to.
That withdrawal paved the way for Turkey to initiate an onslaught against Syrian Kurdish forces that were instrumental in the U.S.-led fight against ISIS and has been widely criticized by lawmakers across the political spectrum.
Nice to see its an objective analysis with no ideological bias./s
The meeting came right after the House voted overwhelmingly for a bipartisan measure condemning Turkey’s action.
Of course speakers, no matter the language in the resolution, also blame Trump for Turkey’s action; that he hadn’t done anything to prevent it.
I only wish Trump would come back at Congress with the best possible comeback he could give to Congress - “when did you ever vote that we should go to war in Syria or that we should even have an alliance with the Kurds.”
This is not a question of our prior or current policies.
It’s just that Congress never wanted responsibility for our actions in Syria but now it wants to criticize them as if the executive branch had gone against Congress’ and “the American people’s” wishes.
Trump can add: “If Congress wants the U.S. to go to war against Turkey, for the Kurds, it can authorize it; so let ‘em do it or shut up.”
Again; this is about the fecklessness of Congress, for not demanding declarations of war in the first place. To me, that abdication leaves their opposition to policies they allowed, by abdication, an issue of wanting it both ways - they don’t want anything to do with war, until they don’t like it. The founders thought war needed to originate with them, not the president. Or so we are often told.
He was probably just being polite for the occasion.
How rude of Trump. He needs to post a letter of apology, on his twitter account, to all third-rate politicians.
