Citizenship is Meaningless: California To Allow Illegal Aliens To Serve On Government Boards

The sanctuary state is at it again. California Governor Gavin Newsom has been burning through pens signing a raft of new bills into law at the close of his first legislative session. In addition to dozens of new gun laws, he also signed a bill further undermining federal immigration laws. This took the form of a bill that will allow illegal aliens to serve on government boards and commissions. A second measure claims to ban federal immigration officers from making arrests in courthouses. They seem to have missed the one where each illegal alien gets a free house and a lollipop after they cross the border. (LA Times)
California lawmakers continued the states expansion of rights and protections this year for immigrants who enter the country illegally, with laws signed by Gov. Gavin Newsom allowing them to serve on government boards and commissions and banning arrests for immigration violations in courthouses across the state.
The efforts by Newsom and Democrats in the California Legislature to provide refuge to immigrants stand in sharp contrast to the policies of President Trump, who continues to push for a new wall on the U.S.-Mexico border and also crack down on asylum seekers.
Our state doesnt succeed in spite of our diversity our state succeeds because of it, Newsom said in a written statement on Saturday after signing some of the bills into law.
The clown show continues on the left coast. The first element of the new legislation detailed above is probably legal, but relatively meaningless, and could very well backfire on them. If state or local governments begin publicly appointing illegal aliens to sit on boards and commissions, they can probably invite them to attend meetings. Of course, if it’s a paid position, then the government is in violation of federal law and should be eligible for prosecution because it’s illegal to hire an illegal alien for any paid position. It’s conceivable that offering them such a position could run afoul of the bringing in and harboring statues, but that’s less clear.
The way that part could backfire is just as clear. If I’m the local ICE supervisor and I see on the local news that an illegal alien has been appointed to a particular commission, I’m probably going to consider having some agents stop by the next time the commission meets. I mean, that’s just serving up dinner on a tray. And for many ICE offices, I wouldn’t put it past them, if only to prove a point.
The provision making it illegal for federal agents to take an illegal alien into custody at a courthouse is preposterous. That’s an attempt at nullification, which has never been supported in federal courts or at the Supreme Court. Also, attempting to interrupt a federal law enforcement official in the performance of their duties is a felony. I’d love to see Governor Newsom try that one personally.
But this is the form of insanity currently gripping the Golden State. Flee while you can.

Agree. Getting rid of Nuisance would be relatively easy compared to getting even a RINO in there.

America is having a “soft” civil war. America is pretty much dead as a unified republic. How far this goes may or may not be up to us.

The dems didn’t outnumber non-dems by 2.5-1 in Gray Davis’ time.

America is having a soft civil war. America is pretty much dead as a unified republic. How far this goes may or may not be up to us. I totally agree. Right and left hate each other far too much to want to share a landmass, so the best and only way for this country to not end up destroyed is to split in two. It has happened to other countries throughout history; it can - and should - happen here.

READY TO DUMP LIEBERALS IN FAVOR OF SANE CONSERVATIVES? That'd be nice, but the dems outnumber non-dems by 2.5-1 out there. Newsom's not going anywhere.

The USA is designed to be split into pieces along state lines.
A state can be a country like that.

Did you know that Gavin Newson is related to Nancy Pelosi by marriage?
Ron Pelosi is the brother in law of Nancy Pelosi, the Speaker of the House of Representatives. He is a former uncle-by-marriage of Governor of California Gavin Newsom.

I think Gavin Nobrain knows he is going to get recalled and is doing his best to damage the state as much as possible before that happens.

"Could we start a PETITION to have California
REMOVED from the UNITED STATES??? Well that would be a start.
The state could be "officially" declared to be in
rebellion against the Republic. California's congressional
representatives and senators could be removed from Congress.
Then invade the state.
Arrest all of the statehouse representatives and
and other California state gov officials who refuse
to cooperate with the federal government. Appoint a
military governor to run the state.
Arrest and imprison any state/local gov. officials who don't cooperate.
Run the state until order is restored. Later on
have federally supervised elections when Californians
return to sanity.

The illegals have been serving in political positions for a long time in California.
I lived there for over 40 years.
I left & I won’t go back.
I URGE any CONSERVATIVE to get out while housing prices are high. When the crash comes, you will be underwater & not able to take funds with you to start over elsewhere.
I sold my N Calif house & bought a larger property in N Nevada with the profits, free & clear.
If I still lived in Calif, my property taxes would be around $3500.
My current property taxes are $735.83....for the whole year.Power bill consistently UNDER $100 monthly. Propane just delivered= $1.68 a gallon.
The air is cleaner-—I live rural enough that I don’t need to smog my older vehicles. The vehicle registrations are cheaper. The price of fuel is cheaper. The price of housing is cheaper.
Trust me-
I have raveled in about 40 of the lower 48 US states. Some of it on horseback at about 7 MPH. (Calif-Utah-Nevada-Oregon-Idaho-Wyoming-Arizona-Wisconsin-Colorado-Nebraska- Kansas) I can assure you there are better places to live than in California.
Do your best to not take those Calif rules & ‘values’ with you. Those other locations have been operating very well for over 200 years without messing it all up.

This took the form of a bill that will allow illegal aliens to serve on government boards and commissions. Newsom surely knows that the la Raza group has as its goal the annexation of parts of California to Mexico, or, as some think, returning the land to Mexico.
Putting illegal aliens on boards and commissions will accelerate that goal, will it not? Where does Newsom think he is going with such an anti-American policy?

California has seceeded from the Union
All non military federal offices in Califirnia should be closed and all funding ceased. That is specially of the lawless court houses.
A territorial should be established with a Presidentially appointed committee to take control of the government until such time as a functioning government can be established.

Good advice.
At some point they will make that illegal.

Ridding the state of Newsom would likely be more
important than you may think. For one thing it
would put the lefties on notice. It would also
embolden California independents.
