Less than 100 miles from home, but we didn't feel a thing.

Yeah. 4.8 100 mikes away. You could feel it, but most won’t.

Between this quake and the one up near Concord, San Jose has been bracketed.

I was on top of a 5.0 and barely felt it. People need to remember it’s a logarithmic scale.
To: colorado tanker
Exactly 4.0 is considered barely perceptible if it’s a shallow quake practically right under your feet.
The largest quake I’ve ever felt was an 8.3 off the coast of Guam in the 90’s. It caused major damage to buildings built to withstand major quakes all over the island.
A newly constructed 5 star resort hotel completely collapsed. It had not yet been occupied. Thank God. Turns out the South Korean company building it cut many corners to keep costs down.

Just FYI:
https://suspicious0bservers.org/
...the southern coronal hole is still turning in and Earth is expected to magnetically connect to her tonight, so in the deepest earthquake drought of 2019, today we set an alert for the remainder of the week...
Quote starts at 0:25.
Context, normally theres a >7 magnitude quake somewhere on earth every 20 days or so, its been 93 days since the last one.

It may be Southern but I don’t like the sounds of “coronal hole”. I say we don’t connect.
Just walk on by.

The Good Lord getting ready to separate the wheat from the chaff??? The wheat from the chaff, the sheep from the goats . . .some are already separating themselves in full view.

I predict a large earthquake in California in the future.
To: HighSierra5
I hope and pray not. I don’t think that Gov. Newsom puts much money into eartquake preparedness. What will happen to all the street-dwellers and tent-dwellers?
I can imagine the chaos, the looting, the rampant crime.
It would be like one of Travis’s novels.

Gosh Jim, since this is your post I'm gonna guess I won't see any of our thoughtful and concerned Freepers from other states, and let me say at the outset that I believe there are only a few, making their sick comments hoping for harm to come to their fellow Americans from California.
At least I think they won't, maybe.
