Some whistleblowers are more equal than others.
If you are a leaker who is a Deep State CIA ally who worked for Joe Biden and is doing the bidding of the Democratic Party and CNN and you are in no fear of retaliation because you are getting hugs and kisses from the establishment, then you are a leaker and you get to keep your job.
But if you area true whistleblower who is a lone wolf risking your career in a courageous and moral act to expose corruption and bias in a Democrat media ally, then retaliation is instant and you are canned instantly.
Not that I wouldn’t expect to see someone who secretly spied on their bosses private conversation be fired. I would. Just what is good for the goose is good for the ganders. The entire FBI/CIA brass secretly spied on their bosses conversations (i.e. - President Trump), and they have gotten nothing but accolades and awards.

Whoa! Settle down, man! WE are the nation. The USA has a solid history and has survived worse than these pissants.
America will come out of this stronger and will outlast these traitors. All we’ve lost are a few illusions. Maybe that had to happen. We’re all more vigilant because of this.
