Mortgage your house and cash in your retirement, Jeff. Spend all your money on novenas to St. Jude. That’s your only hope.

I would think that Trump would have something to say about this. If Trump puts up with weasels like this, that disturbing for two reasons. In the first place, it could mean that Trump is compromised and needs to show his fealty to globalist scum by letting Jeffie run for his old seat. The other less likely reason could be that Trump is clement which doesn’t seem consistent with his personality.

Trump doesn’t need this squirt pissing on his shoes. Trump can support someone better.

Trump has strong support in Alabama, but his endorsement won’t determine who the next senator is. He endorsed Luther Strange in the special election primary to replace Sessions. Roy Moore won that primary. Then Trump endorsed Moore in the general and the Dim Doug Jones won the seat.

Few on this forum understand the Roy Moore factor in these races and I can see that few will understand the Jeff Sessions factor in the upcoming race, if Sessions enters it. And if both Moore and Sessions end up in the race, outsiders will damned sure not understand the dynamics of such a race.

I’d prefer a senate race with neither of them in it, but I doubt we’ll get that.

I was really excited when Sessions was named AG. But what a disappointment he was. If I lived in Alabama I could never vote for Sessions.

The Senate Conservatives Fund, which has a pretty good record, has endorsed Arnold Mooney:

Arnold Mooney R—Alabama Arnold Mooney (R-AL) is challenging Senator Doug Jones (D-AL). Mooney is a businessman and state representative with a proven record of results. He has fought to defend life, he sponsored Alabama's Right to Work law that became part of the Alabama Constitution, he fought for the public display of the Ten Commandments, and he even wrote legislation that would allow Alabamians to help fund the border wall at the state level. Arnold Mooney has deep roots in Alabama and will work with President Trump to cut spending, secure our borders, reduce taxes, give patients more control over their health care decisions, and protect human life. Arnold and his wife Kelly have three children and eight grandchildren.

No idea. All I know is Jeffy is not the man I thought he was. Weak of character and conviction unless, of course, he’s working for the enemy GOPe/Dems. Then he did his job perfectly.

Whatever the name, Sessions of some other republican, getting the (R) elected would help us to keep or even add to the senate majority. Even Mitt Romney helped republicans keep the majority, even if he is a S.O.B.

He’s depending on the uninformed voters, who seem to be quite plentiful at times in AL.

It wasn’t a ‘mistake’ on Sessions’ side.

He did it deliberately to shadow punch Pres Trump.

He didn’t have to set aside and let the Dems attack him over and over concerning the Russian Hoax.

Sessions was tasked to keep Pres Trump sidelined, to slow his progress on all fronts while looking respectable doing the dirty deed.

He’s only speaking positively about Pres Trump now because he wants to get back into the Senate.

Keep the snake out of the Senate.

That’s encouraging, including endorsing John James (MI) and Don Bolduc (NH).

I thought Sessions said he didn’t want to run for his old job some time ago. Or is that just assumed to be usual politicianspeak? (How can you tell if politicians are lying? Their lips are moving.)

That’s one way to get Jones re-elected

The other is to nominate Moore.
