Schiff: 'There doesn't need to be a quid pro quo'
The Washington Examiner ^ | October 13, 2019 11:46 AM | Mike Brest

House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff claimed that a quid pro quo agreement between President Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is not necessary for Trump's request that the foreign government investigate former Vice President Joe Biden and his son Hunter Biden to be an impeachable offense.

Schiff, 59, has been one of the driving forces behind the impeachment inquiry that began last month after an unnamed CIA official filed a whistleblower complaint alleging wrongdoing by the president during his phone call with Zelensky. However, Schiff's ties to the whisteblower have given political opponents, including Trump, ammunition to question his actions.

"We have discovered in short order not only the contents of that call, but also the preparatory work that went into the call. The effort to condition something the Ukrainian president deeply sought, and that was a meeting with the president to establish that this new president of Ukraine had a powerful patron in the president of the United States that was of vital importance to Ukraine, was being conditioned on digging up dirt on the Bidens," Schiff stated on Sunday's episode of CBS's Face The Nation.

The Dems just figured out the quid pro quo thing wasn’t working for them. Time to move the goal posts (again)!

Every time Schiff opens his mouth, he should be asked “is this another parody?”

Or,to put it another way, there doesn't need to be a high crime *or* a misdemeanor.

"I think either way the democrats know they were going to lose."

Any normal group of people would at least try to look competent despite knowing they're losing. Even real lemmings would handle themselves better.

Anticipating both of the arguments articulated by shift, for some time now I have been posting to the effect that Republicans should not start arguing from a fallback position, that is, they should argue from the get go that there is no "high crime" even if there was a quid pro quo for the reasons expressed in this reply .

Schiff is full of what comes out of a cow’s rear end. There is no impeachable offense at all. Even a quid pro quo does not rise to that level. Making up offenses out of whole cloth is not going to change that.

“When are they going to start talking about Schiff’s 16 visits to the Meth Guy Buck in LA?”

Right after they get to the Biden Crime Family corruption in Ukraine, China and elsewhere.

We don’t need no stinking crime. Shoe me the man, I will show you the crime Schifthead is at it agin. To be clear, it is the DUTY of the President of the United States to investigate corruption, especially high crimes, of the last POTUS and VPOTUS. Not investigating criminal sellouts to a foreign power is WORSE than a pardon, because every Democrat will continue to believe that they are the ‘good guys’ and mean ole Trump was just trying to get an unfair advantage.......that they would have never done....sarcasm.

Trump, if your people read this, get Barr off his bagpipes and get after these crooks.. The people know what’s up now.
