President Eisenhower warned us of the “Military Industrial Complex” which made huge profits on war. They spread out into government to accumulate tax monies for their projects. They had been winning until the current President.
In that same farewell speech Eisenhower also warned against Big Science funded and ideologically driven by government. The CACC (Catastrophic Anthropogenic Climate Change) people come to mind.
The military-industrial complex has been replaced by the medical-pharmaceutical “insurance” complex.
