From my reading, the prosecutor dropped the charges and plea bargain one charge, not the judge. . . Because the ATF&E didn’t want the judge’s decision to continue which would have ruled in the defendant’s favor that they were technically firearms due to not meeting the legal definition as written in the law, resulting in 90% of semiautomatic firearms also being covered under the same defect in the law’s explicit definition of a firearm receiver! They could not afford having that precedent.
