The Constitution may not call for it.....BUT....we do have rules of law....that say you’re entitled to Council....and that’s an absolute. And Cross examination is also a rule of law.

Yes, you have a point. But Pelosi will argue that this is an investigation not a trial. Those rights will apply to the Senate trial if Trump is impeached.

That doesn’t make it fair. But this politics. Pelosi is playing her weak hand. In the end Trump her and the Dems (IMHO).

An interview with the cops isn't a trial either....but you have the right to council.

And all these names that get mentioned....they lawyer up. No trial, no charges....it's a "protection" that everyone is entitled to.
