The irony is that a company will not offer a high salary package to anybody who has not already established they are worthy of a high salary.

Applicants can know what the job pays but the employer gets to ask about history? This change is long overdue, IMO.

Can’t they get this information elsewhere? I know for a fact that at least one contracting job I applied for, they already had an accurate salary history of me.

This doesnt go nearly far enough in government involvement in employee/employer relationships. It would be better if the government just set the salaries and avoid all the nonsense negotiations.
