Yeah, whatever. It’ll go to the Supreme Court and he’ll win again.

Unless Roberts decides that his tax returns are health care.

Lol.

I think it’s time for us to stop paying taxes then, if the forms are going to be used as weapons by the ***damned Democrats.

On to the Supreme Court and demand that Ginsberg, Sotomayor and Kagen recuse themselves.

This is crazy. Given current events the court is saying that every president must face the reality that any single House representative can now subpoena any financial records they want to go on a fishing expedition for partisan political purposes.

Just against Republicans, though, of course.

Reminds me of the 2000 election where every leftist challenge against W to the FL Supremes was granted in about 15 minutes.

I do not understand why the Dims are so hard-over on getting POTUS Trump’s tax returns. He has been a billionaire for years, worked in the most cutthroat business imaginable (Real Estate development), and has been filing taxes for 45+ years would be my guess. He has never to my knowledge been accused of filing false returns or returns in violation of tax laws. Sure, he has taken advantage of the congressionally mandated tax code with regard to losses and advantages, but it he did anything wrong in New York, of all places, or with the IRS, he would have been locked up decades ago. He has used the ‘congressional mandated’ tax brilliantly.

The Dims will be embarrassed if they get his tax returns, but they’ll still squeal like the stuck pigs, which of course they are....

A politicized judiciary undermines confidence in the foundations of American government and society.

Trump has probably been audited numerous times by the IRS. If The IRS accepted his returns what business is it of congress to look at them.? Oh look, he took a deduction for donated his underwear...wait that was Clinton.

It’s only specific committee chairs that can make the request. Chair of the House Ways and Means Committee, Senate Finance Committee or Joint Committee on Taxation.

Here is the specific legislation:
(f) Disclosure to Committees of Congress
(1) Committee on Ways and Means, Committee on Finance, and Joint Committee on Taxation
Upon written request from the chairman of the Committee on Ways and Means of the House of Representatives, the chairman of the Committee on Finance of the Senate, or the chairman of the Joint Committee on Taxation, the Secretary shall furnish such committee with any return or return information specified in such request, except that any return or return information which can be associated with, or otherwise identify, directly or indirectly, a particular taxpayer shall be furnished to such committee only when sitting in closed executive session unless such taxpayer otherwise consents in writing to such disclosure.

It was a panel, not en banc. Interesting that there are two Trump nominees pending in the Senate for the two 2nd Court of Appeals vacant judgeships.

Why dont they just fabric their own version of his tax returns, turn it over to the fake news, and then it will be accepted as gospel.

...why the Dims are so hard-over on getting POTUS Trump’s tax returns....
_______________________________________________
They want to be able to pressure, investigate and subpoena everyone he ever spoke with/worked with, even preliminary negotiations that went nowhere. They are about making life utter hell for anyone associated, however remotely, with Trump and his kids and the family business.

In RE development in NYC and other major cities, it is impossible to not work in some fashion with industries/businesses associated in varying degrees with professional criminals. They want to be able to pound those encounters. Union bosses will get a pass, as will anyone who donates large to the Ds. Everyone else will get the Manafort-Flynn-Stone treatment.

Trump is bringing the D crimes into the light. All they can do in retaliation is muddy the waters, smear everyone with broad brushes and increase the chaos to hellish levels.

They don’t even care what anyone believes. They want people so exhausted, they just say “make it stop.” Then, they will regroup for 2024 and by 2025, every Trump will be in prison, exiled or just flattened under tons of lawfare.

It’s how they roll.

If this is almost certainly the Second Circuit. While Trump has flipped this, it doesn’t guarantee that the judge who heard this was one of “his.” There will be appeals.
