Now, at 38 which is about 15 years past her prime and a good 10 years after “hitting the wall”, she’s surprised that she can’t find a husband.
28 is the wall???? Silly. 30 year old women have no problem finding men to partner with. I don’t know what planet you live on. Women pick men. Not the other way around.
And I say the same thing right back to you.
Yes. 28 most certainly is the wall.
That's why you see woman at that age talking about settling down.
They're being outcompeted by younger and hotter women. They're not "done with their partying years", the party is done with them. And every year past the wall, it only gets worse.
Women pick who they have sex with.
Men pick who they marry.
Each sex has the most power over that aspect if relationships they happen to value second highest.
It’s ironic.
A woman is only able to "pick" men from out of the set of men who have any interest in committing to her. That set shrinks every year she goes past 30.
The set of available men, who may have an interest in marrying her, and who she may find desirable, is MUCH smaller at 35 than it was at 25, as the good men get snatched up by women who actually wanted marriage.
28 is pretty strict. 30 though is pretty standard. You say you know 30 year olds who have no problem getting guys. Conversely, Ive known plenty of guys who would not consider marrying a woman older than her 20s - at least not til they reached their mid 40s. The marriage numbers would tend to support my observations.
